Naoto glared evenly, "It wasn't to kill zombies. Without a plane or helicopter, there's no way off this island. Guess what won't start without its onboard computers in running capacity?" The survivors gasped seeing what she was getting at, "We're stuck here. Up to our throats in zoms and bandits to boot."

"Did we even have any aircrafts to begin with?"

"There's an airport not far from here. On the other side of the city. I planned on getting us there once everyone made it back here. That plan got shot down real quick though." Naoto said dissappointingly.

Necro sighed. "What's our next move?"

As soon as the EMP hit, Flynn rushed down to his workshop. After a couple of minutes, he came back up with a small metal box tucked under his arm. Glancing towards Nick and Crystal, he said, "With the generators fried, our options are kinda limited on what we can do here on out. Does anyone have any suggestions?"

Ronan had heard stories of "the black dot." He never really knew if it was true. He heard the sickening thud of Layla being throw into the cabana wall by a force unseen. He opened his eyes and sprinted to her. "Layla," he ground he teeth in irritation, "Of all the times you go down on the job...." He trailed of and smirked.

He got her up on his back, "Time to return the favor, lassie." He looked around him. His resources were limited even more so now. He had no radio, no vehicle, and, the biggest blow, no Layla.

He shook his head and started the 500 meters to the lifeguard station.

Daniel jogged downstairs and stopped at the doorway, just in time to hear the stranger's question. He looked into the darkness and answered, "Well, first off, Ronan and Layla are still out there. Is there anyone else still roaming?" He stood and waited for an answer.

Derek was cold, hungry, and most of all, extremely pissed off. His friends left him for dead due to being "dead weight". He did have two Five-Seven handguns, an AK-47, and some grenades and flashbangs. However, his friends robbed him blind, leaving him with only a sharp stick. He saw a flash in the sky, and heard a bunch of screams. He saw the heavily scorched remains of his friends. He smiled and walked away.

...Forgive the outburst. Aren't the character all supposed to start out underequipped? And, even disregarding that, nobody living in a zombie apolcaylpse would be dumb enough to leave things behind when leaving their friend for dead. That's... too-dumb-to-live logic, unless they did it on purpose, to give him a fighting chance. But, then, why the hell abandon him in the first place?!>

<No. The only guns available to any of the survivors right now are two low cal revolvers. With extremely limited rounds. Also if you don't severely change that post, I'm declaring Derek dead, those flashbangs wouldve went off in his pockets when the EMP went off, he'd have severe burns.>

<This is the zombie apocalypse. Just how many true friends do you expect to find? Every other RP on this site makes it easy for the characters to be friends. This is the exeption. It is a bleak, horrifying world where the undead outnumber the living. I'm not a fan of the genre, and even I know that much. This is a stark contrast to the rest of the site, so it may be a little hard to take in. It's kinda funny, considering how your main characters usually come from a more grim background, and yet they find themselves surrounded by people who don't give a damn about political problems and crap like that. They run into a problem? Kick its ass.>

<...For the record, though, I've seen worse. Plenty worse. Character descriptions that tell abso-****ing-lutely nothing. "A really strong and cool-looking warrior"?! Seriously!? And mind you, that was after I asked for a more detailed description! *Going off on a tangent, no longer relating to the topic...*>

Souji looked surveyed the group, "I'll go find Ronan and Layla."

Derek sat on a large rock, and sighed. He quietly mutters to himself,"I am so screwed..." He saw a carton of cigarettes, and took them. He then realized something.

He had no source to light it.

He proceded to scream some profanities and then said,"I GIVE UP!"

"At this time of night?" Necro scrutinized, "Too risky, especially without an additional light source."

Derek kept walking, and walking, and walking.... until he found a small shack. He walked into the house, and sat down, finding a lighter. He smiled and said,"Ah, a good 'ol Zippo!" He carefully shook the quality lighter, and heard the lighter fluid moving around. There was enough for him to light one cigarette. He lit the cigarette and quietly talked to himself. And as soon as he took a rest, he was ambushed by five zombies! He shook the Zippo again, and heard a little bit of lighter fluid left in there! Derek said,"See you in Hell, you decaying Zed bastards!" He then light the lighter, and light the shack ablaze, laughing as he ran out. He was alive for one more night.

Layla groaned lightly from her position on Ronan's back, "You can let me down now... I can walk... And my naginata would be useful since I'm not back up to fighting potential. It'll put some distance between you and the infected." She unlatched the weapon from her back and handed it to Ronan.

"I'll be fine. I survived my first night in Inaba. This is no different." Souji said gruffly as he walked out.

A young man stood in the street in front of Derek, "What the hell is wrong with you?" His face was a stoic wall and he was heavily armed, a katana and a pistol. His hand moved to the hilt of the blade for a moment but he stopped and decided against it looking at him again.

"Have you seen a girl? Her name is Nix. Red-headed. We were seperated when the outbreak started."

Ronan chuckled at the sound of Layla's voice. He lowered her to the ground carefully, before taknig the naginata. "Good to see you made it. We have to make it avout another 250 meters to get back to the station."

Daniel nodded. "Can I come with? I just need to reassure myself that Ronan is ok."

He shrugged and said,"Where do you want me to start, physical or mental? And I have not seen a girl."

Daniel nodded and looked over to Souji, "I'm ready when you are." He squeezed the boat oar, already in his hands.

Jake had awoke at the sound of panic. He noted the lights had gone out, and heard the mumblings of people planning a makeshift rescue mission. He nudged Marceline who somewhat groaned at the elbow being put lightly into her stomach. "Something's happened." Marceline looked into his eyes in confusion.

"Well. That puts a damper on things."

The man glared at him with a startling intensity, "How about mentally? I saw you laugh at those people. And those infected, that's just inhuman... letting the flesh cook from their bones until they can't move? Tch..."

Layla smiled, "Lead the way. I'll be right behind you." She said as she massaged her leg, working movement back into it.

Derek, now a tad bit angry, said,"Well, for one thing, those people were my so called "friends", who left me to fend for myself, with nothing but a sharpened stick. The zombies, well, I really can't explain that. I couldn't kill 'em all with the stick, so the second idea that came to my mind was torching the shack."

The man sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose as he put a hand to the hilt of his sword, "The infected aren't intelligent nor powerful. Burning down shelter shouldn't be necessary regardless."

Ronan smirked and nodded, taking lead. He watched both sides as the pair made their way towards the station.

Daniel nodded and followed Souji out of the door. As the two exited the gate, he thought he saw the two they were looking for. That's when he heard the screams of the infected.
