Glancing between the orb and his weapon, Flynn smiled and simply said, "I don't think that the round peg will fit in the square hole."

The orb began to shift into a square shape. Lixan said to Flynn, "Oh really?"

Ronan looks to Souji, "You think they're doing the right thing? Going to the city I mean?"

Souji nodded stoically, "I trust Layla. She knows what she's doing. If she thinks going to the city is a good idea, then it is. I don't doubt that kind of leader." He explained.

Naoto nodded as she walked back towards the other end of the roof, her eyes narrowed as she saw two figures walking bac towards the station, "Souji and Ronan are almost back. I can them from here... Where are the others?"

"If you two are done arguing," Nick slipped on a pair of spiked gloves flexing his hands, "We need to get moving."

Necro looked in the same direction. "We'll have to ask when they get here. Let's hope they found everyone."

Ronan nodded in agreement, and looked to the roof, "Looks like we're drawing a crowd. I wonder what we've missed."

Jake turned to see the two coming back to the station, "They looked really worn out."

Marceline simply nodded.

Daniel held on for dear life as the truck was bombarded by attack after attack of the infected. One after another bum-rushed the vehicle and was simply smashed into by the front of the little tank.
Every so often they got stuck and the nearby walkers and other zombies would turn their attention to Daniel in the back, exposed. He realized that this had not been the best choice of seating pretty early in. Every so often he had to toss an infected off the side, or bash a head in or two. He was covered in blood by the time they actually reached their destination.

Flynn glanced at the offered power source before simply shaking his head and telling Lixan, "No thanks. I'd rather find something that I know works." Slipping the blade into his belt, Flynn stood and faced Nick, "Ready whenever you are."

Lixan put the power source in his pocket. He then grabbed his new weapons and readied himself. "Same here."

Layla parked the truck as she and Tom hopped out of the cab, "And here comes the fun part..." She gestured towards the blockade preventing their entrance to the tunnel.

She pointed to the gas station on the opposite side of the road, "I need you guys to go gather some propane tanks. About five or six... I'm going to try to think of where we'll put them so we don't destroy the tunnel." The screams of infected were heard as Layla drew her naginata, "And deal with those guys."

Tom looked at the young woman for a moment then nodded, "I think I see your plan. Daniel, let's go." He said leaving Layla to deal with the small number of infected.

Daniel climbed out of the truck bed and made a few attempts at wiping off the blood from his face and arms. It merely smeared on his arms from all the sweat, and he figured that it was the same situation with his face.

He listened to Layla and followed Tom to the station. He could hear Layla behind him, swearing at the infected as she took care of them.

Lixan walked up to Leo. "It's time I inspected your bionics, Leo, to see that they are still in working order."

I looked at Lixan, and chuckled. "No need, I'm sure my body is in good condition for now" I said. It was true enough, I had a few cuts, and a few bandages around my arms and hands from rough work. But I wasn't too bad off.

Lixan smiled. "OK then."

As they reached the station, the pair could hear the crackle of electricity coming from the pool of water surrounding the pumps, "We're going to have to find a way to shut that down if we're to work safely." Tom pointed out.

Nick nodded stoically, "Let's go. I'm not going to ride on borrowed time." He said as he left the lighthouse.

Daniel nodded in agreement, "The power boxes are usually in the back. We'll need to find a way around, and be on the look out for anyone infected." He looked around, looking for a safer patch of land to walk through. He noted the piece of plywood over on the ground, but he wasn't sure about the idea, "Do you think the water is too deep for the wood over there to be used as a bridge?"

Resting one hand on the hilt of his blade, Flynn follows Nick outside, keeping an out for any movement.

Lixan followed Flynn.

Nick nodded, "We've got a ways to go before we reach the hotel... So, be careful and watch eachother's backs." They exited the chainlink fence and as it latched shut behind them, as if on cue, the calls of infected were head. A small group of walkers stumbled towards them, a trio of Infected broke the swarm and sprinted towards them.

Nick slammed his feet into the ground and shot forward with a burst of speed. He met the first Infected and an uppercut from his spiked gloves collided with its skull as it slumped into a useless heap.

Nick let his fist fall as the Infected drop and used its head as a plant as he swung around and let his foot swing violently into the jaw of the second Infected sending it sprawling across the ground.

Nick stood and delivered a crushing right hook to the next Infected's temples and the creature fell immediately.

As the Infected he had knocked down recovered, Nick drew his electric machete and activated the power.

The young man smirked, "Who's ready for Round 2?" He sliced through the skull of the charging Infected as the remaining group of Walkers continued towards them slowly.

Lixan sheathed his swords, and ran at the walkers. He slammed one in the face at speed, sending it spiraling towards another two. He then used a zombie as a springboard, flying past Nick, then vaulting over Flynn and beheading another one with a well-placed kick. He then yawned. "I could do this all day!" A loud rip was then heard. "Except if that happens." He then fell over, swearing in pain. He began to heal his leg, pulling out one of his Kinesitizers and blasting a walker when it walked close. He got back up after a minute, killing another zombie.

Lunging forward, Flynn stabbed one of the walkers in the neck, cutting the neck apart as he walked around the walker before jerking the blade out of the walker's spine and introducing the blade to the brain of the walker in front of him.

Lixan flip-kicked a walker, sending it into a small group of walkers. "Strike!"

Tom surveyed the area identifying the source of the dangerous electricity, he smiled as his eyes fell on two things: a chainsaw and the telephone whose wires had fallen into the pool, "Know how to work a power saw?"

Nick growled at Lixan, fending off a Thug that had nearly beheaded the young man. "Stop goofing off. This isn't fun time. You can die. Thousands already have. And they weren't the last," he said grimly.

A low rumbling noise was what first caught Layla's attention. The sound of large vehicle approaching from within the burning tunnel. She KNEW that sound... And the man who drove that truck.

"Shit."

She broke out into a dead sprint, knocking aside an infected with a strike of her blade as she ran, "Guys! Screw the gas! We've got a bigger problem!"

Lixan retorted with a grin, "If you knew me, you wouldn't be saying that." He beheaded a walker.

[Aesoth]

Yanking the blade out of the walker's skull and slicing off the hand of another as it reached for him, Flynn grumbled to himself before asking, "Can we save the witty banter until we aren't about to be eaten?"

Lixan sighed. "Fine." He killed another Thug.
