Re: Ventus' Zombieland
Layla heard the calls of the infected but charged forward knowing she had to deal with the hunter first. She summoned Karitekeya and the bird tackled the Hunter holding it to the ground with its long talons, "Agidyne!" Layla shouted as the bird followed orders engulfing the enemy in fire. Then, with a twirl to build momentum, she slammed her bladed staff into the beast's throat, decapitating it.
"Now, to deal with the others." She turned her attention to the mob attacking the cabana, fighting through as quickly as she could muster.

Re: Ventus' Zombieland
A few infected had managed to work their way into the cabana, tearing gaping holes into the walls and doors. Ronan was stuck inside, with only the bathroom to go for cover. He smirked, before shuddering at the thought.
"Layla, just so you know, I am still alive in bere, I promise." He wasn't sure how much longer he would be though.

Re: Ventus' Zombieland
Leo and Xetus were standing on top of the tower, watching zombies mill around the jungles and such. "God i should fine something to do..." The war angel said sighing as his host shrugged.
Re: Ventus' Zombieland
Lixan turned to Necro, and said, "Attracting what attention? I'm firing a basically silent energy bow at a bunch of Walkers, which, last I checked, don't scream or explode when they re-die."

Necro held up his hand, counting things off as he listed them. "The sound of flesh being pierced, the sound of a zombie hitting the ground, the glow of the arrows. These a zombie is bound to notice."

Daniel had awoken to the sound of voices above him. He gave the ceiling a groggy look, shaking his head before rubbing his eyes. He slowly stood and stretched, before heading up stairs, finding Necro and the stranger. "What's going on?"
Re: Ventus' Zombieland
"Fine. How about I just vapourize the zombies, then?"

Re: Ventus' Zombieland
Ronan put the butt of the pistol into the left temple of the first zombie, killing it instantly. The blood splattered the walls, as the security guard fought for his life. He grabbed a near by boat oar, swinging it with flat part down, taking the head of the nearest zombie off of it's shoulders with a single swing.
He knew he wouldn't be able to last much longer, but this night seemed to be somehow, and sadistically, poetic. The fight of life versus death had become entwined with the modern day. It had almost become a metaphor for the struggles of 'regular' life.

Re: Ventus' Zombieland
Layla's weapon flickered dangerously, "He's part of MY survivors." A wave rippled out from her as all the undead turned to face her Provoked by her anger as her naginata dissapeared. Her knife she was left with shining in the moonlight, "Who's first?"
With that, the young woman charged the horde ripping limbs and destroying heads with what used to be a kitchen utensil.

Re: Ventus' Zombieland
Ronan's eyes flickered between the horde in front of him, and the horde being torn apart by Layla. He smirked as he watched her dismember them easily, efficiently. His vision blurred for a second, a vision of his father, after his first rugby practice, flickering before him.
-Vision-
Mr. McDowell placed a hand on 12 year old Ronan's shoulder, "Son. I don't care how big they are, I don't want you to be playing scared anymore."
Ronan looked up to his father in confusion, "But dad! I'm the smallest kid on the team!"
"So was I when I played, boyo. I want you to remember this. No matter how much you're out manned, out gunned, out maneuvered, I want you to fight like there's no tomorrow."
His vision came back to him as an infected took a swing at him. He flipped the oar over and shoved the handle into the stomach of the undead man. "Yes sir."

Re: Ventus' Zombieland
Layla finally reached Ronan after a long effort, "Ronan!" Her knife sunk deep into the last zombie's skull, "You alright? Are you bitten?" Her expression was one of fear, terror even.
Re: Ventus' Zombieland
His adrenaline rush subsiding, Ronan broke into a grin, "You worried about me? No I'm not bitten." He couldn't help but chuckle a bit. This was the first real emotion, other than anger, that he had seen out of Layla.
He looked about the room, corpses of the re-dead strewn across the floor, a couple hanging in the windows. He lay the oar over his shoulders, resting both arms over the top of it.

Re: Ventus' Zombieland
Layla nodded, happy to hear the news, "Good, you're one of my survivors. That means I don't want you getting hurt." She looked around the bungalow, "Now help me move these stiffs outside so I can burn them. The remains will only attract more unwanted attention."
Re: Ventus' Zombieland
Lixan set the bodies alight. "Any zombies try to investigate and they'll suffer burning death."

Re: Ventus' Zombieland
Ronan smirked again, but went to work as instructed. He started to carry each one outside, tossing them into a large pile, stacking them higher and higher. He swallowed hard at a glob in his throat.
The smell was starting to become worse, and his fight was slowly starting to slip away from him. He walked to the back of the bungalow, throwing up. He stood slowly and wiped his mouth on the bottom of his shirt. He looked out into the bay, the infamous prison planted on the island in the middle.

Re: Ventus' Zombieland
After driving for what seemed to be forever, Flynn finally saw the road up to the lighthouse. Just as he let out a sigh, thankful to get there without the three of them encountering any infected, a shriek rang out and a pack of infected sprinted into view, intent on chasing down the truck. "Hey Nick, you might want to pick it up a little!"

Re: Ventus' Zombieland
Nick floored the accelerator as the tires squealed as they took off, "Slow 'em down somehow!"
Re: Ventus' Zombieland
Flynn grins as he starts the timer on his knife before throwing into the chest of the lead infected, replying, "I think this will do a bit more than just slow them down."

Re: Ventus' Zombieland
The explosive went off with a loud fanfare and Nick smiled wide, "Man, you're crazy as hell! But, that was awesome!" He continued at their current speed up the mountain towards the lighthouse.
Re: Ventus' Zombieland
Sitting back down in the truck bed, Flynn looked over his shoulder, "I aim to please."

Re: Ventus' Zombieland
Ronan turned back to the pile of bodies, taking a can of gasoline from inside the cabana. He doused the the numerous re-dead corpses, before pulling out the gun lighter that Leo had given him.
"May the road rise to meet you. May the wind be always at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face. May the rains fall soft upon your fields and until we meet again, May the Lord hold you in the palm of His hand."
He lit the pile and stepped back, the flames' light dancing on his face. His ever-smiling face, seemed barren as his smile was missing. The seriousness of this scene had him in a sort of trance. He stood there watching, the flames licking away at the remnants of the new reality.
And so there he stood, silent.

Re: Ventus' Zombieland
That's when it happened.
High above them, there was single black dot in the sky.
With it, was the accompanying sound of a low whistle.
"No," Layla looked shocked as the object, a missle screamed closer, "This isn't supposed to happen yet!"
The Wild Card gathered her power and fired it, the weapon colliding with the spell in midair. Layla was knocked into the side of the cabana by an impact that Ronan couldn't feel as the missle exploded in midair.
As the blast subsided, it's effects rippled across the island.
The lights went out.
And they wouldn't be coming back on.
----------------------------
At the lifeguard station, it was chaos. As the lights died, people panicked. Only Naoto, Souji, and Sinamoi working together were able to calm the other survivors enough to get them to form coherent sentences.
"What the hell just happened?" One of the survivors exclaimed wanting an explanation.
-----------------------------
Slowly, Abigail formed a small smile, "I see how it is." Wordlessly, the young woman dissappeared.
{Personas have been locked. Survivors must work together to survive.}
------------------------------
At the lighthouse, it was just as if not more insane. Nick tried to help calm the others but the process was slow and everyone wanted answers that he didn't have.

Re: Ventus' Zombieland
Necro rushed downstairs when he heard the panic. His worry increased when he discovered the lights were busted. He ran to where he could sense Naoto's presence, among others, and asked, "Is everyone okay?"

Re: Ventus' Zombieland
Naoto nodded, "Everyone's fine but..." She tossed her cellphone as hard as she could at the wall, "We've been EMP'd. The lights are out on Banoi. The only electricity that will still be working is from generators that WEREN'T already running when it went off... Which means nothing here at the lifeguard station."
Re: Ventus' Zombieland
"Who's the asshole who launched the EMP?" he asked, "Doesn't exactly seem like something you'd do to wipe out zombies, so I don't see any good intentions here."
