Dante took each spell to memory then puts out his bpne sword. "Ok I'm going to have to cut you..., mute you, then confuse you"

"You're gonna make me bleed, unable to heal, and constantly hit myself? THat doesn't sound like fun." Aleri sagged for a moment, then stood up straight. "How 'bout you try healing yourself when you're in critical? That's an important skill to have!"

He held up one hand to the sky, and... not much changed. Whatever he was doing, it was certainly supposed to make it darker, but it was already night.

"How 'bout I show you the kind of power that's totally useless in a normal fight? This is what they call 'Meteor'."

"Why is it useless in a normal fight?" Dante asked as he stood a reasonable distance feom Aleri and anyone's houze and shop.

Aleri looked up. "...Eh, it has way too much of a charge time, and huge MP cost. Flare is more efficient, but this is really spectular." His eyes caught something. "Ahhhh, there it is!"

One of the stars appeared to grow brighter... no, larger. It continued to grow. It grew and grew... no, it was coming closer. It approached, gaining velocity, ready to crash into its target. Aleri subtly altered its trajectory...

It came crashing down several yards away from where Dante was now standing. The force of it was staggering, and even Aleri seemed to be affected by it.

Dante almost stumbled but righted himself. "That's amazing ....can I learn that once I master white magic?"

"Nope. That's the highest-tier Black Magic. Holy is the strongest White Magic, turning all that healing power into destructive force. Don't get your hopes up. Even when you learn it, it's inefficient, as I said. Sure, it's incredibly powerful, but it's only good if you've got a good 99 MP to put into it, and the time to charge it without getting beaten to death by the enemy." Aleri said, sounding a little put-out himself.

"Quick, a spell I used earlier, requires the same amount of MP. It's funny, considering how opposite they are. Quick buys time but does nothing, Meteor takes a ton of time but deals insane damage. Of course, if you had enough power stored up, you could use Quick, then Meteor twice. That would cost 297 MP, but it would certainly put the hurt on anybody."

The boy nodded then drew up his blade and stabbed Aleri in the arm. Unfortunately due to his size, he hung off the ground as well.

The blade seemed to go through his arm for a second. Then, Aleri was holding the weapon aloft in the position it had struck, his arm seemingly unharmed. For all it affected Dante's position, he may as well have hit. "Nice try. I know you want to practice Cura, but perhaps you should try it another time. ...Oh, all right."

A funny look crossed his face as he stabbed himself with the weapon. "MMmrmmmmrghhgh...! I kinda hope this thing doesn't have any nasty parasites or viruses or disease, I'd hate to get an infection. Now please heal it, it's really painful..."

"To be honest, it is a human bone you stabbed yourself with, so it could have all types of infectious crap in it....but you know...there's a one in a billion chance you'd catch anything....killer level" he said as he focused a higher amount of engery into the Cura spell, just enough for it to peek and still keep it from blowing up. "Cure" he called out as he pushed outwards to the wound.

"Remember, focus on the general area of the wound. Don't try to get in-depth with just Cura." Aleri advised, nodding as his wound closed up. "...Passable. Needs practice, but it's late. We both need sleep, and I'm sure Lance is wondering where you are by now. If you want to learn Cura, practice it whenever you can find the opportunity. But no making the opportunities yourself, got it? Or, as Lea would say, 'Got it memorized?'"

He held out his hand, opening an LC. "That'll take you back to the castle gate."

Aleri shook his head. "I may be busy." As Dante disappeared into the light, he turned and strode away.

"I have to retrain myself from the ground up... I can't keep imitating Rexial's fighting style. It's just not made for heavier weapons, like TELOS. Can I really do it in time...? I feel like something big is gonna happen soon... But if that's the case, I'll have to start as soon as possible."

With a renewed determination, he continued to march towards the castle...

I'll have to look up some information on physics and classic styles of swordplay, then decide on where to train...

Though she had retained a bored expression for much of the meeting, Thalia's eyes flickered with recognition as peices of a puzzle seemed to fall into place, "Lance?" She stood up from the table, "I need to talk to you for a moment. In private."

Lance raised an eyebrow quizically, seeing as the behavior was not typical of the young woman's, "Alright then." He complied as he stood and followed her out of the room.

Once they were outside, Thalia gave Lance a concerned expression as she spoke, "Do you think this has anything to do with what Pheonix and Oxthmas saw?"

"Feral Chaos?" Lance's brow drooped in thought as his hand moved to his chin, "That sure would explain the sudden dissappearance of worlds..." He mused.

Thalia nodded, "Should we just wait for now?"

Lance shrugged, "We have no choice. Unless the organization picks up a new signature... I have no idea where he is. Let alone world hopping and asking if anyone has seen a rogue demon would just cause a panic..."

Dante stopped and sat under the doorframe, waiting for someone to open it. He looked out to the courtyard and remembered when he saved Eoni's life when he took him from freezing rain.
