Soren looked arond and produced a carton of cigarettes. He hadn't smoked in a while but still held on to the pack. He poped one in his mouth and lit it before taking a short drag.

"Payback for my payback. Brutal," he said, backhanding Kizu and knocking her off to the side and once again trying to get sand out of his eyes. I had to pick the desert.

Lance turned to the group, "As my friends and allies that helped me win back my land from the vicious Erebus, I am going to throw you all a bit of a party. No doubt Erebus has kept a large amount of food for himself. However, under my discretion, you all along with my people are invited to a party!" As he finished and Thalia led the group off to show them around the castle. lance pulled Soren aside, "Dude, I've got something to tell you."

Aleri started chuckling. "That fight looks fun... Man, I wish I could still battle." He looked to a spot, where there was... nothing. There's... nothing there? I thought I... no, there's nothing there. A trick of the light... He shook his head.

Susan noticed Aleri's face and looked in the same direction as him, also seeing nothing. "Something wrong?" she asked.

Roland and Gunamnex appear outside the same tavern used earlier after Lance's first trial. Walking inside, the two sit down at the bar.

"What a thrilling day, right comrade?" Roland says as he signals for two pints of their favorite brew to be brought to them, along with two plates of steak.

"So it was" Gunamnex says wearily. He looks down at his plate.

"Something wrong? You should be happy. I mean, it's not every day we get to slay hordes of minions and slay a dragon. I even got to throw a sword through a demonix knight." Roland says, mimicking the motions of the sword flying down into the knight. He takes a swig from his pint and then puts it down with a hearty laugh.

"Ah, that hits the spot" he says before digging into his meal.

"I'm worried about her..." Gunamnex lets out softly.

"You mean that Dark Bloodline Maiden? Relax, she'll do fine, and you'll be there to congratulate her."

"True." Gunamnex says, a bit more cheerful now. He begins eating as well.

"Of course, I can't leave you alone with her for too long, Kingdom Hearts knows how bad you are at speaking with her" Roland says with a hearty laugh, patting Gunamnex on the back.

I'm going to discipline Oxthmas when he gets back... Gunamnex thought. The two keyblade masters continue to dine, retelling stories of the past to each other.

"No, nothing... I just thought there was something there. I must have imagined it." He tried summoning his Keyblade, but was just too exhausted. "You gotta be freaking kidding me... Well, I wanna sleep, but I don't wanna miss this fight. Decisions, decisions... Meh, I'll be fine. This is too interesting to tear away from." Once I'm all better, I should do a few missions, or Xeromus won't be happy...

<Well, if they DO interact with him, can they tell him that they're the Observers, so that he has a term to refer to them by? It makes more sense than "Those guys who gave me that awesome keychain.">

As Lance pulled Soren aside he spoke, "I need your help. Alice, the girl that I fought before Erebus is not true evil. Her heart is darkened by her father's ways but I believe she can be changed. I want you to take her on as an apprentice and maybe after seeing the ways of the light she will be able to change. Think you could help her?" Lance asked him before turning to his own shadow, "Maya, I've got a mission for you too. Find the wine cellar and ask the attendant there what the finest wine Erebus had stowed away was would you?"

The girl materialized from Lance's shadow as she disappeared in search of the wine cellar.

Lance turned back to Soren as Maya left, "It's great to be home." For once in a very long time a smile was etched in the young man's face instead of his typical glare. "Soren? Where exactly have you been staying? That crystal cave of yours?"

Kotank ducked to avoid the attacks and sweep kicked Kizu. He then punched her in the back of the head while she was down.

Aleri smirked. "According to human limits, it's impossible for a human to stay conscious after a direct blow to the head like that. That's the end of this fight..."
