Max dusted off part of his vault suit before replying, "Well, they must have came from out here." Drawing his laser pistol and aiming it into the darkness, he asks, "How many of them do you think there will be?"

Naxius replied, "Judging by the size, there may be a few more."

"Think we should go looking for them then? A few bullets and their gone" Seth said.

[Aesoth]

"We're going to need a place to stay for the night soon, we might as well clear them out of here." With that, Max flicked on the flashlight mode and pointed the screen into the darkness. A shiny carapace of a radroach is easily seen and it immediately rushes towards the source of the light.

Seth drew up his revolvers and fired twice into the little beast

Naxius took out his normal pistol and shot 3 rounds at the radroach.

The radroach flips over as the bullets strike and kill it. Max gets a decidedly ill look on his face as he watches the roaches interior ooze out of the bullet holes. Stepping forward into the store, Max mutters softly, "I sincerely hope there are not that many of these things."

Tim, who had been distracted by the amount of decay and destruction surrounding the store, turned as he heard the gunshots ring once more. He saw the radroach meet it's end, and Max begin to turn a slight shade of green, "Woah, hang in there buddy. You're the one who had me help you with the dissection of those things back home."

[Aesoth]

Max grimaced as he looked away from the bug. "I prefer the innards of a computer. Much less goopy. Let's just get this done." Noticing some movement, Max just behind Tim, catching one of the radroaches in the leg.

Seth rounded about and saw one more peeking out from the shadows, he shot the roach in the head once, then shot it three more times in the torso from his second revolver. He now had about two or three rounds in total in his barrel. He flicked the chamber open and let the shells dropped out, then reloaded them as quickly as he could.

Naxius looked around, and, spotting no more radroaches, walked up to Max. He said, "I agree with you, but the way I see it, it's either them or us."

[Aesoth]

"Doesn't mean I'm not going to be sick over it. I'm going to look around and see if there are still some kinda supply in here." Walking away from the roach bodies, Max heads for the back of the shop and tries to open the door to the storeroom, finding it to be locked as he yanks on the doorknob futilely.

A voice call out from behind the door “Hey someone out there? Say something if you can hear me?”

Max glanced over his shoulder at the people with him and tentatively called back to the storeroom, "Yes, someone is out here."

“Ah thank god finally, a group a raider locked me in here and fed the key to one of those Radroaches.” There’s a slight pause “You think you could do me a favor and find it, it’s starting to smell a bit ripe in here.”

Tim had come around the corner and heard Max's conversation, "Well, either you've picked a really idiotic time to practice ventriloquism, or there's something rather kinky going on here," he raised an eyebrow, before simply stating, "I'll leave you two to your fun," and left.

Naxius began slicing through the radroaches, searching for a key. He raised an eyebrow as Tim came around the corner. "Funny," he said, unimpressed, "but, can you help me?"

[Eques tenebrarum]

Seth ripped open the back of a Radroach and began pushing around its insides. He blinked as he felt his hand skim over something. The boy pulled it out and sighed. It was just a bullet, probably just left laying around.

Max headed just outside the building and picked up the radroach that attacked him. Walking back inside with it, Max said, "As this is the largest specimen, I would assume that the key was fed to this one. Can one of you get it out? I don't have the tools necessary."

Naxius said, "I got it." He walked over to the large radroach, and used his combat knife to slice its' carapace open, seeing a small object glint at him as he did so. He grabbed the object, shook off the excesss guts, and tossed it to Max. "There you go." He then shook off the radroach guts that covered his hands. "Gross..."

Catching the key, Max walked to the storeroom again and unlocked the door, backing away quickly.

The door opens slowly, a man steps out but quickly drops to his knees almost as if he’s praying “Ah thank god, I’m finally free of that room.” The man looks up “And what are the names of my rescuers…” there’s a moment of silence “Oh damn, your vault dwellers aren’t you?”

Max glances at the group for a moment before turning back to the man with a confused look on his face. "Yes, we are all from a Vault. Is there something wrong?"

The man quickly stands up “Uh um nothing, nothing at all its’ just that um… I’ve never meet a live vault dweller, not saying I’ve ever seen a dead one either. You know it’s that vault dwellers aren’t a common sight in the wasteland…” the man starts to panic looking for words to buy more time or to change the subject “Uh so how long you been in the wasteland…How about the weather here…Yah the weather it's a nice sunset huh?!?.”

Naxius walked up to Max, and looked at the person Max freed from the storeroom. "Trying to buy time isn't going to work. Instead, just jump to the point. Who are you exactly, and what are you doing out here?"
