<Except Machops are on Fiery Path, which is on the way to Lavaridge, not past it. They average around level 16, and the Elite Four are ~60 ish I think, just to give a general idea.

Anyway, our party has no access to Dewford...but that's farther away than Mauville, so I'm a bit confused at that. Also, we should really get to dealing with the Jigglypuff/whatever it is.>

Disturbed by all the noise and movement on the water from earlier, a single, upset Lotad appears from the pond. Kayla turns to it and grins. "Well well... You guys mind if I take this one?"

Cain took a step back. "Riolu's gotten a couple of battles in at this point, so I say go ahead."

Riolu looked up at Cain as if disappointed, but nodded agreeably all the same. "Rio," he said, also taking a step back.

"All right. Thanks for that. Yamask, you ready?" Kayla asks. Yamask nods and cries out its agreement. "Circle around and move in, I'll do the same." Kayla and Yamask slowly inched towards the cornered Lotad, which seemed torn as to whom it should attack.

A Wild Poochyena appeared!

"Huh?" Kyouko looked up.

"OMG ITS SO CUUTE!" She smiled her face of blushies. "Kick its butt! Powder Snow!"

Snorunt inhaled and blew out to the Pokemon.

Kayla looks over to see what Kyouko's deal is, and promptly takes an Astonish to the side. The Lotad on top of her, it begins to drain her using Absorb. "St-stop!" she cries. "Y-Yamask... Disable, then Astonish!" Yamask promptly replies by sending out a beam of energy at the Lotad, stopping it in it's tracks. As it tries to wobble around to face Yamask, it receives the brunt of the Ghost's Astonish, who floats over Kayla in protection.

Cain covered one ear at the sound of Kyouko's yell...or screech, whichever, and mentally shook his head at Kayla's lack of confidence. He wondered if the two of them had come along for the fun of it, seeing as Kyouko was way too excitable in battle and Kayla seemed nervous. Hopefully both would go away with time, but for the time being, he dealt with it.

The Lotad, now more way, tries to back away from the duo, but to no avail, as both Kayla and Yamask keep approaching it. Suddenly, it tries to Astonish Yamask. "Protect!" Kayla cries, and Yamask generates a wall of light that nulls out the Lotad's attack. Kayla uses a sweeping backhanded strike with her scythe against the stunned Lotad, sending it flying. "Use Astonish on it! Finish it!" Yamask complies, leaping into the air and striking the Lotad back down to the ground. The Lotad is thusly defeated, and runs off into the pond again. Kayla, excited for the win and concerned for Yamask, rushes forward. "You all right, big guy?" The Yamask appears fine, though a little winded.

<Now to find all that Exp gain stuff I had somewhere....>

The screen went to static then back to the teen with his cap and Glaceon.

"So if you're on SS Anne no doubt you was in Vermilion City. You got the badge?"

"Ha" Blake reached into his pocket pulling out the Thunder Badge. "Got it ten minutes before a boarding the ship. Such a close match"

"So that makes, -uhn, let's ...uh?" Ross was lost in count. "Okay, no you lost that match...beat him....you beat her...ha! Who can forget that match with the Alakazam? You couldn't find the Fushia Gym Leader, you just got the Thunder Badge....Uhh...four?"

"Ha. Yeah. Boulder, Cascade, Marsh, and Thunder. In that order"

"Well, I'm just missing one so far. And that's the Soul Badge. The leaders no where to be found". Ross said disappointed the Pokemon the shoulde expressing the same emotion.

"Well, when I'm back in my home of Kanto, me and you will get that Badge, you will be a member of the Elite Four, and I will be taking back my rightful place as Gym Leader. It's my home. Saffron was built by Fighting Pokemon. It's rightful Gym is Fighting. Now it's just a empty, dusty, Jotlik and Spinarak web covered mess".

"Hey, it's a dream!" Ross held his fist out.

"Ha. Yeah" Blake held out his fist to Ross as it bleep out and the monitor went off.

Blake looked down. His smile now frowned. His eyes drooped. "Yeah. A dream that hopefully will be reality. But, dreams and nightmares are the same".

Blake's mind races rapidly. Images of terrorist grunts filled in his head. Scared. Young child he was. In his mom arms. Stop. Don't think this. Remember the good.

Being in not only in his mom's arms, but he's in the dojo of Saffron. Being guarded by fighting Pokemon. Hitmonlee and Hitmonchan guarding the two. Your dad the owner of these Pokemon. No, not the leader just simple trainer assigned to the Gym. Your father turned to you. Young child. No older then 5. 12 years ago. He hands you a tiny Pokeball. "Hold on to this. Please. You can't stay here. You're gonna have to stay with grandpa for a while. But we love you. But it's too dangerous here". The child took the ball when the sound of the paper doors slid open.

In stance the Pokemon readied themselves only to be greeted by Officer Jenny and her partner. "Okay, is this the boy to be taken to the Hoenn region?"

The mother holding the boy tighter. She didn't want to but had to.

"Yes". The father said.

"All right then". She walked up to the mother and son.

"Hey champ. You look big and strong. Why can't you help us fight these mean ol' Team Rocket folk?" Officer Jenny was very playful with the child.

It didn't help. The boy was scared to think of fighting someone so strong.

"This isn't for a child, Officer Jenny. No child could do such a thing".

"Well, I have a feeling you're wrong" She kneeled down to the child. The mother let the kid go and he stood up looking up at her. "This kid....is gonna be so strong one day". She patted his head and the boy finally smiled.

Just thinking about that lady made Blake today smile.

"One day...."
