Aleri shrugged. "You weren't going to go anywhere without these, were you?" He held up Sammy's K-Bar, one of Sam's shoes, the sock from his opposite foot, and his belt. How was that even...?

"Don't underestimate people for even a second. If I were serious, you would already be a memory. A very, very bloody memory. Now takes these back, you look ridiculous without them. The only reason I won't fire until you're ready is that this attack will kill you if you are hit directly. Somebody of my level of strength would survive with severe injuries, but you're not on my level."

"Get on with it!" Rexial muttered.

"Fine." He snapped his fingers, returning the stolen items to their respective places on Sam's person. Then, holding up his left hand, glowing with instense light... "Dodge this." He fired a beam of pure-white light, about five feet in diameter, aimed straight for Sammy.

Naomi was on the ground, holding her sides from laughter, when she saw the blast, and her eyes widened. Sammy noticed huge chunks of rock coming his way. He hopped on each rock until he got behind Aleri."

Aleri released the attack, not bothering to face Sam. "See? There was no way of blocking it, so you had to evade. A lot of magic is like that. Let's apply your newfound experience, hm?" He tapped his foot, raising up a wall of earth between himself and Sammy, then used the same foot to kick it down on him.

<...Did Aleri just use Earth-Bending?>

Sammy rolled out of the way, and hopped above the shockwave.

Aleri created a giant icicle beneath Sammy, commanding it to shoot up at him. "Mages are often inventive about how they fight. You must be as inventive as they are to keep up."

Sammy rolled forward, and used one of the remaining shock waves to jump up to the center of the earthen slab and created a large fist of Aura, and punched the wall, cracking it, greatly reducing its structural integrity.

Aleri sighed as he created an autonomously-moving whip made out of fire, lashing at Sammy with it. "Keep in mind that being in the air makes it harder for you to dodge, with nothing to kick off of."

Sammy kicked off the rock wall right before it crumbled, avoiding the firey whip. He then said,"The wall was still up."

"Not anymore," Aleri smirked as the whip wrapped itself around Sam's leg and slammed him into the ground. "And it looks like you aren't, either."

Sammy winced at his burnt ankle and cast Cure on it. He glared at Aleri and said."Haha. Very funny."

"You have to remember, you can't dodge everything mid-air. ...Unless you know such skills as Glide, or Double Jump, which few have ever mastered. I think some Keyblade Master lady once learned how to Double-Jump, but any user of Glide needed assistance before they could learn it. Aaaaanyway, you get the point." Aleri shrugged. "...And that burn is fairly minor. Bear in mind, I have stronger magic. If I wanted to harm you, instead of making a point, you'd have been completely fried."

The young man nodded and said,"So Is Naomi up for training?"

"I dunno, is she?" Rexial wondered aloud. "I'll be training her reflexes a little bit first, then we can do the counter-magic training."

Naomi giggled and said."I'm ready!"

Rexial was immediately upon her, slashing and cutting at the air like a madman. No doubt that if any of those connected, if would be excruciatingly painful. He finished his flurry of near-miss attacks with a kick, actually aimed to hit her in the left shoulder, before leaping back. "...Were you able to follow those attacks with your eye? I imagine you were at least able to see more than a blur."

Naomi just nodded no. She was shocked at hue blinding speed! She was lucky she could cast speeds at a tenth of that speed!

"Not to brag, but I'm probably the fastest thing around!" Rexial let a goofy grin spread across his face. "...But that's because I don't quite follow the laws of reality the same way. See, you aren't going to be up to the same level of speed as the rest of us for a while, so you need to work around that."

"I met a keyblade wielder the other day who was able to subdue me. He wasn't as fast as me, so he had to predict my movements and respond before I acted. You'll have to predict the opponent's moves and take preemptive action if you want to keep up."

"Well, there's only one way to find out," Sylvia shrugged, leading on towards the towering castle ahead of them. "Let's check it out!"

Nick nodded complacently, "Yeah, let's go." He wiped his hand through his hair in a gesture of acceptance.

It wasn't long until the group reached Willright Castle, the group making a beeline for the throne room where they expected Lance waiting for their arrival.
"Hello?" Sylvia called out as they entered the room, her voice echoing off the walls as she folded her arms expectantly. "Your Highness? You called for us?"

Rexial sighed. "...You know what, Naomi? How about we train some other time? 'Cuz this is starting to feel like it did when I was training Kizu and Maxi. And that was boring as hell. So, I'mma go do something I feel like doing."

"Hey, don't leave me to train 'em alone! I don't think that's such a great idea..." Aleri objected hesitantly.

"So forget the training for today. Training is something that should be done early in the day, anyway, and it's already the afternoon." The Skillful Swordsman stated bluntly, pointing up to the position of the sun... which they could barely see, thanks to the darkness surrounding their world almost blotting it out. It never seemed to have that effect on the moon, though, for some reason.

A small audience was already gathered in the throne room. Thalia, Maya, and Pheonix had already gathered there. Lance was sitting in the throne in front of them, he smiled in greeting as he stood from his seat.

"I've gathered all of you here in a formal meeting for a purpose. A new threat to not only our worlds but many others has risen. And we are some of the few that can stand against it." Lance said in a frighteningly powerful tone of voice.

"This new threat is a man known as X-Sigma. We know nothing of his true plans and only that he plans on attacking the worlds of Castle Asylum and various others soon. I gathered you to implore your assisstance in a time of need. Will you all fight with me?"

"Castle Asylum? X-Sigma?" Sylvia's bushy eyebrows disappeared under her fringe in confusion. "Hold up a second. Can someone bring me up to speed here? Cuz none of this is making sense to me at all. Who is this Sigma guy?"

Thalia nodded, "A quick summary, Castle Asylum is where a lot of fighters from various worlds gather to protect the light so it's a primary target. X-Sigma is an evil guy that's wants to destroy everything. He's already attacked once and he was a major problem so Lance thinks we'll need more firepower this time around." She tried to explain as quickly as possible.

A box appeared in the throne room about 10 metres to the right of Lance. There was a note on the box, and it read, "For beating X-Sigma. Kick his butt back to Oblivion. Sincerly, Felix."
