The Doctor's main tool is a sonic screwdriver. It doesn't work on wood. It does, however, among other things, use sound to tighten and loosen screws.

Yeah, that's rarely what he uses it for, actually. It's more used for picking locks or messing with electronics. In fact, I think he's used it as an actual screwdriver all of once in the episodes I've seen.

Sound is a form of energy transmitted through collisions between atoms, and as such, flows best through liquids. Electronics run on electricity, a completely different form of energy that is used to power...lots of stuff. According to your bizarro science, my batteries should go dead around this screwdriver.

Electronics run on many things, depending on the device. Some of those things can be affected by sound. Just stop dissing one of the greatest Sci-Fi series' ever, dammit.

Once again, for XGeass's sake, I will repeat myself. I will not argue with sci-fi logic. Sci-Fi logic gave us Star Trek, Star Wars, and a sh*tload of other sci-fi movies and shows that make no sense whatsoever given traditional 2012 logic.

I figured the whole "centuries old time traveling alien" bit was enough. If I wanted to go into detail I would have said stairs would never save you from a Dalek, and if you see a Weeping Angel don't look away and never blink.

And good point, XGeass, though I don't think I've gotten to Weeping Angels yet. I'm watching it on Netflix to catch up before Season 7 airs. And I really haven't seen any of the classic series, sadly.
