Cain replied, "I did let him out. He wanted back in. I don't think he likes crowds too much..." Neither do I, for that matter, but then again...What must be done, must be done. It was his way of forcing himself to stay around. He kept telling himself he had to. Otherwise, he'd probably go insane.

Its just Im dealing with a lot of emotions right now, because I've made a very hard decision to not go see my grandma one last time because she has Alzheimers and the last time I saw her was at christmas when she was still fairly functional. So Im keeping that as my last memory of her and not visiting her cause I don't want to see her in the state she's in now. >

Cain looked around himself at all the people. They seemed happy, except for that one guy with the Diglett. Why was that? Did they enjoy being surrounded? Did they feel the need to yell just to be heard by someone standing two feet away? He didn't get it. Whatever, I'm not gonna break my head on this one. Maybe I should just leave and see if someone notices. And if they don't, whatever. I'll go off on my own. I can handle it, and so can Riolu.

Cain decided he probably should leave, considering nobody was taking notice of him, too many people were talking, and his business was done. He opened the door to leave and walked right into someone else. He bumped backward and shook his head slightly. "Woops," he said, sounding mildly confused.

"Of course!" Kyouko exclaimed happy and ran outside, dodge the noob and readied herself.

"Oh?" She noticed when she was without her Pokemon. "Come on, Snorunt!"

"Runtruntruntrunt!" The little ice Pokemon said walking just under the noob, and jumped and shook it's legs in front of Kyouko, eyes closed with joy. "Snorunt!"

"Oh!" Eli jumped as she turned to see a boy her age also knocking on the door with a tone of anxiety in his voice. Strange...how could I have not noticed him? I was in such a hurry, I barely took in any of my surroundings...

"Umm...", she began to address the boy shyly, before turning her head sharply at the sound of the door opening, a surly dark haired male walking abruptly into her as she stumbled back slightly in alarm. "Ahh...", she rubbed her forehead gingerly as she met the boy in the eye with a sheepish smile. "Oh...I'm sorry...umm..."

Walking much more calmly outside, Kayla exits the building with her Yamask floating alongside her. "Would you like to perform a partner match, or a simple battle?" she politely asks, her pre-battle adrenaline making her much more confident.

Cain tilted his head at the two girls. Fighting already? He didn't bother question it. Probably just a training match. He let Riolu out to watch. "This might be interesting...let's find out what we're working with."

"Rio!" replied Riolu as it popped into existence, watching eagerly. Clearly it couldn't wait to see the outcome.

Well, it's actually Elia, but I don't really like that name, and my mom's the only one who actually calls me that, and that's only when she's really mad, like if I set the curtains on fire or something..." She paused abruptly, biting her tongue before her incessent rambling could continue. "Ahh...uhh...is the professor there?" She asked, clearing her throat awkwardly.

Eli cringed at 'last few'. "I know I'm late. It was an accident, I..." She bit back her excuses with a wan smile. "Thank you Miss," she bowed slightly to Maya, before nodding back to Cain and his Riolu. "Sorry again for being in your way. And...I like your Riolu," she added warmly as she patted the jackal Pokemon on the head, before heading inside the lab, where newly fledged Trainers like herself were gathered. "Professor...Aspen?"

Maya looked to Cain and smiled, "You know I'd challenge you to a battle as well but it wouldn't be fair. Riolu there is at a disadvantage since Ralts already knows Confusion. I'd suggest challenging someone here. Sometimes, battles form the greatest of friendships between trainers and their Pokemon and with their opponents."
