Re: Org. XIV (OOC)
The balloon commands.
When the game was still being digested overseas, various fansites and gamefaqs noted first how exploitable these commands were against Julius.
Much like the mine commands against Vanitas lingering sentiment.

Re: Org. XIV (OOC)
Well, I can imagine he'd run right into the balloons when he tries to attack, but I found that the startup time for those commands was too great to be used in combat 90% of the time. ...Maybe the balloons would stagger him?
I was gonna tear him apart with Riku, who lacks access to Balloon commands (I think), not Sora. I made Riku my melee fighter (well, mostly melee), and balanced Sora with a bit more magic. I decided to tweak their Dream Eater setups individually this time, instead of raising them with the same ones to push them along faster.
And, uh, I was gonna fight him ASAP, but I'll have to postpone it until I can borrow back the 3DS...

Re: Org. XIV (OOC)
Riku can use Balloon, it's Spark he can't get. And I totally agree, the Balloons have a huge startup, but you don't have to actually get a chance to hit them to make them go flying.
And I was never any good at using mines on VLS. I've only ever beaten him as Ven by spamming Tornado.

Has anything happened in Org. XIV or FGA?

Not just Julius the Balloon spells wreak everything.

Re: Org. XIV (OOC)
Yep.
*Very Mild Spoilers*
I beat Commantis on Critical just yesterday (I think it was yesterday) using exclusively two Balloons and Balloonra because NOTHING ELSE WAS WORKING. And even with just those commands, two Cures, and a Curaga, I still had to turn off rail-grinding because Riku's animation lag was such a pain to deal with.

Re: Org. XIV (OOC)
Is it sad that I have spent more of my dwindling free time on a FFCC rp on gamefaqs than on here?
"Needs to think of another sophisticated battle for Gunamnex and the others."
Also, I get the feeling from looking at some people's avatars that I should challenge someone here to draw the most accurate drawing of one of my OC's, just to see how far someone here can examine my mind.

Re: Org. XIV (OOC)
*Scratches head* ...I'd take up the challenge, but last time I tried to do a group picture of the whole Org.XIV cast, I realized that I had no clue what half of them look like, and the others are vague enough to make it really difficult. Oxthmas looked like Luxord, Roland and Gunamnex... I forget what they were like, but they didn't look old enough. I would need a detailed description in order to do it. Of course, that defeats the purpose of the challenge...
That was some time ago, perhaps a year or two. Maybe now I could pull it off, but the problem with the Observers is the same as to one I had with one of my own OCs: I never draw them or visualize them clearly, just general features and an air of badassery whenever I'm reading about 'em (or, in my character's case, writing).

Re: Org. XIV (OOC)
Well, you have some sense of what my characters look like, granted it's not quite the best. I am trying to learn to draw on my own, though, so it should eventually come up closer to how I envision them.

Re: Org. XIV (OOC)
My characters have actually changed BECAUSE I drew them. Aleri used to have hair about the same length as KHIRiku's, not... down-to-the-ankles. And his beige trenchcoat was a white jacket with short sleeves. Rexial looked like Ichigo Kurosaki the first time (for the record, I hadn't seen Bleach yet at the time) then he became more dynamic and has slowly developed into his current self.

Re: Org. XIV (OOC)
Noted. The only thing is, I have problems with human anatomy, especially facial features, hands, feet, and clothing. Basically the only thing I can do right is a torso and a faceless head.
That is why I'm working on it.

Re: Org. XIV (OOC)
Well, on another note, we need Org.XIV to forge ahead. We've been a bit slow lately. The Admin needs to hurry up with his meeting, and we need to figure out how we'll set up the whole final battle thing. I mean, will everybody have to gather and ready themselves for the fight? Will X-Sigma just burst in and interrupt everything to start the fight? I vote for the former, myself. It lets us set up the moment, and gives it a more epic, resolved feel.
On the previous subject, I'll add "Draw the Observers" to my list of things to do. I've already got a couple of things I promised to do first, though, and I'll probably take a couple of tries before I am satisfied with them enough to show you.

Re: Org. XIV (OOC)
I was basically thinking that X-Sigma's plan would start and a giant void would appear in the sky. Kind of a giveaway as far as his position goes...

Alright. Now, if I recall correctly, his plan starts in about two in-story days, right?

Re: Org. XIV (OOC)
That's what i was thinking. XD course, the meeting is dragging a little... So, I'll try to speed it up.
Re: Org. XIV (OOC)
I believe it was two weeks, but for in-story? That would take forever. Two days does sound much more optimal.

Re: Org. XIV (OOC)
You know what I hate? Night shifts. Nights shifts suck. All you do is sleep and work. -_- I've barely forumed for weeks thanks to my stupid 6 night shifts. This is like, my only day off in forever...
Anyway, sorry I haven't been around, guys. I feel like such a grinch this Xmas, thanks to hearing Xmas songs on repeat in work when all I want is to go home and sleep and forget about buying presents and wrapping and gnkjalfj /end rant.

Re: Org. XIV (OOC)
S'okay, you're not the only one. ...Er, not to say that I've been quite so busy. Would you say it's MORE, or LESS annoying to be the one SINGING those songs constantly? Because singing means you have to practice repeatedly, hearing the song even more than you would normally, and it's the same version of it almost every time...
Well, so, uh... guys? What are the remaining loose ends that have to be tied up before X-Sigma? I know Vita's one of them.

Re: Org. XIV (OOC)
I'd rather be the one singing, trust me. Having an employer yell in your ear about targets as your fingers blister whilst listening to 'Jingle Bells' leaves you somewhat bitter. >_<
Yeah...I dunno. The ideas I had in mind for Sylvia don't have a long enough timespan to develop at the moment, so I'll be leaving them until after the X-Sigma battle, and the 2 year skip. So I'm pretty much set on my end.

Dispatch is missing, but that'll come. One of two things is gonna happen with that, and one of those is that it'll just get dropped and he'll appear again later. As for the rest, they're all inactive, as I am on this topic. I don't know, I just feel like I have nothing to contribute for the moment.

Re: Org. XIV (OOC)
So when I am physically away from my laptop for the last few days stuff pops up all over the place?
Finally...
Will write something up later, still trying to sort out stuff and I have somewhere to be.

Re: Org. XIV (OOC)
In response to the confusion about last post.
Well, it's obvious they recognize the style, or "art". Gunamnex even uses it. Roland was just making fun of Gunamnex using this occurrence. As for mind reading, I just keep that on the down low.

...Gunamnex uses it too? ...I blame the recent long pause for making me forget these things.
The thing is, Adachi thought of it for an instant when he realized that he needed to lengthen his swing to hit his opponent. His attack was sloppy, and relied on surprise. If Byakurai had expected it, he could've easly knocked the keyblade away and created a huge opening to exploit.
I understand the joke, it's just that it doesn't line up exactly right on the details, and I think that mixed up Mr. Up.
...Argh! Does anybody else have plot to resolve? All I have to do is resolve Vita's situation, and Adachi's session with the other trainees and Masters will have to end by the time things heat up. So! Shall I move things along with Vita, so we're only waiting for the passage of time, and not unresolved threads?
