Nick nodded slightly understanding the feeling, "Yeah, I am too... Course I don't even know how far this disease or whatever has spread... I might not have a home to go back to. I just try to settle for what I have here. Sinamoi is more of a father to me than my real one ever was anyways."

As I continued into the bungalow, I struck dlwn a couple zombies with the edge of my rod. As I walked I was humming a song, Xetus' war song to be exact, it was pretty much a unconscious moment on my part. I paused in the second verse, turning around. "So where's the diamonds? It can't be this easy, walking up and stealing them right? There's always some gaint angry beastie to fight of we get too close"

Nathan ran towards where he heard the scream of pleasure come from. He saw Leo and whoever else at the bungalow, along with the drunk woman. He nodded at them and ran into the room, where he saw 2 'dirty' women and a man. Nathan asked the man "Who are you? Are you Maggie's husband?" The man replied "Yes, but please just tell her I'm dead...It'll make things much easier." Nathan nodded at the man's wishes, and went into the main room where everybody else was.

Kirby mumbled, "They totally ditched me here, didn't they?"

Darius appeared.

"Not. Now."

Darius replied, "But they left you here! Why would it even bother you?"

Kirby snapped at him, "Shut up! Look, I'm NOT interested! Just pack your bags and get out of my head! I don't care WHAT you can do for me, I'm leaving!" He shifted into a raven and flew off, hoping to have left Darius behind forever.

The man laughed. "You'll come around...I can see bribery will have no effect, but I wonder...what about blackmail? Threats? I can't directly interfere, but bribes work on other people. I can work through them for now." He vanished.

Kirby flew around for quite some time before settling himself on top of a building and transforming back. This building...reminded him of the Empire State Building. A few trips he'd taken there from his hometown a couple of hours away. He hated big cities. The air made him feel sick. It wasn't some kind of environmentalism. That just annoyed him. No, he'd been sick every time he'd gone there. He'd been sick, or the weather had been bad, or something, but he never managed to have a good time when he went to NYC.

"Man...I just need to clear my head." He looked out over the city. It was dead. Gray. Dismal. About the same as any other city looked from the ground, except with a lot less noise.

I turned and ran over to him. "Goddamn looks like your in a jam, mate" I leaned over and hooked my fingers under the edge, slick with blood and mud. I shifted forward picking it up off his body easily. Interesting, he's injured but not dead yet..."don't worry, I'm a doctor" I started as I examined the arm that was under the dresser.
