Weird as sh!t to post here, I know, but I need opinions on thoughts of the second video compared to the original from whoever views this for....reasons? Mostly because I've had this song stuck in my head for ABSOLUTELY no reason and now I'm hyped up on caffeine and I'm bored and have the house to myself. Respond!

I don't know what the hell I just watched.
Well, I guess I liked the original more...? I appreciate that bit of silliness in the second one's music video, but honestly, I wasn't familiar with the song to begin with, and I'm a little too tired to give a decent opinion on these.

These guys, in general, are ear porn. This album is actually pretty old, music wise, but there's this one and Elements are phenomenal

What would be the most appropriate format for a list of songs that I may use in a RP?

Appropriate? Well, if they're associated with a character, you might put them in the bio. Otherwise, there's no particular guideline. It's not like you need clearance to post songs, or need to post them here first. On the flipside, though, there's no guarantee that anyone will even bother listening to the songs you post, and there's no feedback, so unless someone goes out of their way to tell you, you'll never know.

I know I've never really contributed to this thread at all, but does anyone here listen to Barenaked Ladies? In the past few months, they've become like, my favorite band ever.

I have heard exactly two of their songs, unless they also sing some of those songs I've heard but don't always recall. And I'm pretty sure you can guess which two. Still, I like both of them, so...I guess?

I'd guess One Week and If I Had A Million Dollars. But yeah. I love their old albums, they've released a few great albums recently, including a holiday album, and they even made a kids' album which I personally think stands up on its own. I may be embarrassed to say it, but I regularly listen to that album, Snack Time, just because it's solid music with adorable lyrics.

Re: Music link exchange topic
It seems there's a lack of Underworld in this topic. Time to fix that.
https://youtu.be/Q5GjVvlmg3o
This is one of my favorites (although honestly I love a lot of Underworld's work, Second Toughest Among the Infants is my favorite album of theirs right next to Dubnobasswithmyheadman, but I'm getting a head of myself here) and its been the subject of a piece I've been wanting to write. The last several minutes of the song, due to the sheer atmosphere, always make me think of a person achieving/awakening strong psychic powers. I feel 7:31 is when things would REALLY kick off for that piece in regards to syncing the music with the scene in my head anyway.
The person floating, having previously been lying on their back, eyes opening, a close up of the eye, evolution from microscopic organisms being witnessed in a rapid speed, a rhinoceros beetle, a bird flying through the blue sky in slow motion, a fast paced capture of clouds moving and dissipating through the sky, the sun being in the middle of the sky and then setting, rhinoceros beetle, the lights turning on for a city at night, a ghost town, the ever spinning and moving galaxies in the universe, and then back to the person floating. Truly that is something I'd love to get around to writing one day.

Wait a minute, someone likes Days? Someone who isn't me? And here I thought everyone in the world considered it boring and repetitive, and I'm like "Only in the Colosseum...and Halloween Town ihatethatsong..."
Huh...someone wrote a song about Days...I approve of this.

Re: Music link exchange topic
...You missed the fact that during my totaling up of my entire KH playtime I've played Days the second-most, tied with KH 1? Days is honestly one of the better ones if for nothing other than it tried really hard to go somewhere different and it succeeded for the most part. I have to say though that the Levitation keyblades sucked so badly though, the one real gripe I had with it.

Re: Music link exchange topic
I'll be honest, things like that fly out of my head really fast. Less than the actual numbers, I more remember that they were absolutely staggering. But this is coming from me, the guy who has, in the past month, played no fewer than ten different games at some point or another. Not to completion, mind you, but regardless, the point is that my mind is more filled with thoughts of Disgaea, Devil Survivor, and other games, so a lot of other stuff sorta just runs out of my head. Kinda like a sieve. Like I said, Days being unpopular was mostly just an opinion I've seen a lot of, so it surprises me when people like it.
All that out of the way, I have a tough time ranking KH games, really, because they all have different things going for them in different degrees. Days has one of the best stories, if not the single best (BBS is giving me trouble deciding), that I can say for sure, but KH1 has a great story and a much more exploration-based world, which I like. Coded didn't have much in the way of story, but it was still really fun to play, et cetera.
When you say "Levitation keyblades," do you mean the ones with really long air combos? Because I honestly don't use much of any other Keyblade once I get those, since they allow me to sequence break and get all the treasures in a mission before I really should. I don't switch off of them until I get Glide. Plus...y'know, stun-locking enemies is amusing in itself.
...Mother of--how did I manage to get in a rant/essay in a music-based topic? You'd think I was getting paid to ramble...

Re: Music link exchange topic
I'd like to bring up my previous theory that you have these tangents pre-meditated and you just post them when it's relevent.
I also like Days(why do you think the last three digits of my username are 358?) but I feel like even people that don't will agree that the relationship between Roxas, Axel, and Xion was really well-done, and that's essentially what that song was about.
On a different note, though, did you just say that you hate This is Halloween, or did you mean the KH version of it? If it's the latter, I may have to put some form of hurt on you.

Re: Music link exchange topic
Then you will have to find some way of punching me through the internet. One of the problems I personally had with Days was the fact that throughout the entirety of Halloween Town, that was the only song that I could remember. And there are a large number of missions in Halloween Town in a row or nearly in a row at some point. And I tend to play large amounts of a game at a time. Meaning that I was left hearing that song for a long-ass time. And now I tend to associate any instance of that song with running around Halloween Town with a constant "Do do do do do-do-do do" loop every thirty seconds. And now it just annoys me, leaving me with the taste of bile in my mouth every time I have to go to Halloween Town.

Oh, no, no issue with that version. Way less repetitive/annoying when there are verses and a chorus. Some songs, instrumental works. This is not one of them.

While keeping this on topic...
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qztch6_Uhuk
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t6ZZhVZlZek
Both of these I consider ultimately superior to the original track, which feels insanely limp to me. Additionally, the KH remix, while appreciated, is the height of madness to me. No game goes without this bar BBS. It's also the 3rd most frequented world (behind Agrabah and Olympus), and I believe is actually tied with Radiant Garden in appearance count. Lessee...
KH 1: Agrabah, Olympus, H-Town, HB
CoM: Agrabah, Olympus, H-Town, HB
KH 2: Agrabah, Olympus, H-Town, HB
Days: Agrabah, Olympus, H-Town
BBS: Olympus, HB
Coded: Agrabah, Olympus, HB
Dunno about DDD (haven't beaten it yet guys sorry~)
So that's...
5 for Agrabah
6 for Olympus
5 for Hollow Bastion
And 4 for Halloween Town.
Weird. So Halloween Town is the least common of the recurring worlds.
Though Olympus is the most common.
Additionally, only 3 games fully "feature" the 100 Acre Wood, despite it technically appearing in 4 games.
Wonderland? Hm. 4 games, tied with Halloween Town.
Neverland: 4, again with the ties. Wat.
Beast's Castle is only 2 though. Huzzah something less repeated.
...Tied with Disney Castle (technically counting that one).
Atlantica is 3, thank fuck.
Actually, of all the uniques I can think of, which are Hunchback, Tarzan, Port Royal, Lion King, Land of Dragons, Land of Departure, Dwarf Woodlands, Aurora's and Cinderella's worlds, Stitch's spaceship, The Badlands, End of the World, and Timeless River... ah, and the wiki adds in Mirage Arena and Country of the Musketeers.
Of those, only 3 are related to KH's plot and not the world's plot.
Many of them are actually extremely, extremely early Disney works or in the 90s, and a lot of this is Disney's most critically acclaimed stuff.
But yeah, we have 15 unique worlds visited just once. Out of 34 worlds, technically by my count 33 since one on the wiki is for that japanese only browser game that has like no plot relevance. I'd play it if it got a translation but eh. So /nearly/ half of them were reused, and the grand majority of them were reused until BBS came out and added in like 5 of them, which is the most uniques to a game.

Wait, so Halloween Town being everywhere is all in my head?
Also, I'll tell you that none of those worlds are in 3D. 3D is the "Sleeping Worlds," the ones that weren't restored properly after sealing the Door to Darkness in the first game.
Also, you're missing CO. Unless we're accounting for that BBS Spoiler, in which case you're fine.

I'd like to take a moment to say that Deep Jungle is only theoretically a unique. It was planned for KH2 but removed because of licensing issues with it.
