"Something wrong?"
"You remember the promise Blake made?"
"Yeah... To never let the darkness get to him."
"You think he'll keep it?"
"I really, really don't know..."

"He's your friend, right? I'm sure he'll be fine." Aleri said, having mysteriously appeared from nowhere, now walking with them. "Darkness is something that can be resisted. And, honestly, darkness isn't arbitrarily bad. A genuinely good person, no matter how affected by darkness they are, won't do anything they should regret. Darkness usually lowers one's inhibitions and makes them more instinctive, like an animal, but at the same time, offers a much faster road to power."

Will, a bit shocked at Aleri's sudden showing, nodded. "A rational point. But Blake usually doesn't go back on promises. But, I digress. We need to find his ass, heheh. I don't think we have met. I'm Will." Julie nodded. "Julie. Julie Farkas. Not related to the Follower of the Apocalypse member."

"I've never heard of any Farkas, so don't worry about any negative association." He nodded. "I'm Aleri Kinsetsu. Kind of an odd name, considering the surname is Japanese, and my first is Italian, but I try not to think about it."

"As for why I'm tagging along... I thought I'd make sure you two don't get into too much trouble while you're drunk. I heard you making plans earlier, and thought it might be a problem if anything happened." Aleri scratched his head. "...But mostly as an excuse to talk to you two."

"And I think Minato has some part in this." Julie frowned as she replied.

"How so? Mr. Arisato did seem like a rather abrasive person, but I don't think him lusting after a girl he knows would get Blake so depressed." He crossed his arms. "I think I'll stick with the idea that he's just in a bad mood lately. So, is there a particular reason why you all decided to live in the- Hm?"

The group stopped, having arrived at the liquor store. "I'll leave you to your business for a minute." The man seemed distracted by something above them...

Minato smiled thankfully, "That'd be awesome if you could. I was planning on tracking him down after this but if you could pass along the info it would make my life a little easier. Anyways, I think this is where I'll take my leave."

Minato stood up and the hologram map he'd been using disappeared, "Ladies?" The girls latched arms with the young man as they both got up.

"Say Rexial, since you're doing me a favor now. I'll return IG when you want one. Point out a woman and she's yours. I've got charisma to spare. " He smirked

Rexial just smirked right back. "Thanks, but I've got enough charm on my own." I only got shot down once, and it was because Zero made a move first, dammit. I'm glad Minato has no way of knowing that, though... I'd never hear the end of it. "Maybe I'll take you up on that offer sometime, but not tonight." He thought he'd at least humor him, rather than reject the offer outright.

"So, guys, you wanna head back when we're done eating, or maybe hang out for a while longer? I'm gonna go hunting down some Heartless when I'm done here. I should get a feel for fighting in this world, and maybe collect some Munny while I'm at it."

<Why do I get the feeling that everybody is going to owe Rex favors by the end of the week?>

Meanwhile, the girl, in attire that wouldn't look like she was surviving in a forest, walked into the resturant that Minato and Rexial were in. She then realized something and said,"Did I realy forget my money..."

Aleri immediately leapt onto the roof to confront... a group of Heartless. "They don't look very strong... this should only take a few seconds."

The girl smiles. "Yeah, I'm fine, just forgot my wallet at home..." She looks around, and with a small burst of darkness, her wallet appeared in her hand. "Not a problem now."

Rexial glanced at Minato. "I thought the people here were jaded to this kinda crap because they were used to you and Ventus. Why are there people who can DO this kind of thing? Bah..." He shook his head before addressing the girl. "Well, good for you. It's a handy trick, but I personally prefer not to use darkness. Are you here alone? People usually come to diners like this with their friends."

I forget the girls' names, they sounded Japanese, and I'm too hungry right now to memorize anything beyond two syllables. One of 'em was... Mizuhara, I think? Well, the more the merrier. Feel free to sit with us."

Ave looked around again. "I try not to use it for small tasks. Having a body of darkness can be quite useful. Now, before you say anything like 'heretic!' or 'demon!', I'm a second generation wielder. My mom had it, and that's enough of that." The waitress then walked up to Ave. "Hello, I'm Courtney. Can I get you something to drink, or would you like to order?"
"I've already ate, but I would like a Dr. Pepper."
Courtney then went to get her drink.

"I don't personally mind darkness-users. So long as you're not an enemy, I'm fine with whatever you use. On the flipside, though, I don't give a damn whether you wield Excalibur and prance around calling yourself Arthur and have a shiny white glow around you, I'll have no qualms with kicking you to the curb if you're an enemy." He responded with a bored look, ignoring her request to drop the subject. "And I'd have to be some kind of light-blinded bigot to call you a 'heretic'. It's the intentions that matter, not the power your heart is aligned with."

"In fact, I'd say I'm more of a devil than you..." He chuckled. "And I use light."

Having said his two cents, Rexial finally dropped it. "...So, they have Dr. Pepper here? I didn't know the did. Probably would've been on the menu, but I guess I didn't look hard enough... You just stopped by for a drink? I'd have hit up a convenience store for a bottle of soda, since it's cheaper, and you can carry a bottle with you as you leave. There wouldn't be any ice in it, but they usually keep their drinks chilled, don't they?"

Aleri quietly landed back on the sidewalk, unsummoning his Keyblade. "Are Heartless attracted to alcoholic beverages...? No, it's a coincidence. That would be more than a little stupid if they were."

<Well, I'm signing off before I get a headache from staring at this screen while trying not to fall asleep. Why on earth can't we all do things like this at a reasonable time...?>
