Lucia floated back into her tower after her visit with the sleeping Isis. Laying down on her back she concentrated her mind at the task ahead of her. Pulling up her phone she pulled up pesterchum and typed out a response to [PA].

LF: Terrib(y sorry Z-(han. Something sudden(y (ame up.
LF:As for "strange" basi(a((y, just anything outside the spe(trum of what wou(d be (onsidered a usua( o((uren(e, whi(h if he is a martia( artist as you imp(ied. I sin(ere(y doubt he wou(d do su(h. So dont worry about it.

Glancing outside the window Lucia saw a new image in the clouds of black creatures rummaging through...she let out a loud GASP as she recognized her room.

LF: It appears I may have some unexpe(ted (ompany. So I must abs(ond brief(y. Arriveder(i.

Upon hitting send, Lucia felt a sharp tug on her hair, waking her. Quickly wiping her mouth of the drool, she brought up her phone and scrolled through the options. Finding the option that her more technically savvy friend in the area had set up for her, she turned on her voice to text Pester mode.

"Okay then, Pester- AHHH," she cut herself off, inadvertently setting her phone to pester [AA], seeing one of the intruders having gone through her cosplay closet and deciding to try on the Ryuko Matoi outfit.

LF: aaaahhh, that is horrib(y wrong on so many (eve(s. It wou(d seem my-

Lucia began to panic as the creature brought up her princess plush and stuck the plushies ear into his mouth and began chewing on it.

LF: NO! Dont (hew on the prin(ess!!

Picking up the nearest object, Lucia leapt upon the offender, smacking it with her favorite plushie feverishly apoligizing to the poor pony being used as a temporary weapon.  Afer a furious struggle with the creature, Lucia fell to the ground as it exploded into two GIANT BLUEBERRY GUSHERS ?? Immediately launched herself to the nearest one trying to cram into her mouth, she found the taste terrible for just a moment before it disappeared. Tentatively she touched the one remaining with a finger causing it to disappear as well.

"Pester group memo" Lucia said as she decided to make a quick note.

LF: Upon the defeat of any hosti(e (reatures in your domici(e, dont try to (onsume any of the giant b(ueberry gushers. they are not gushers and taste terrib(e.

"End, Pester [AA],"

She exclaimed as she felt another tug on her hair, and looked around finding a comb pulling on her hair. Taking a closer look she saw it was the pixie comb from earlier trying to get her attention.

LF: You want me to fo((ow you (itt(e (omb?

Lucia followed the pixie comb out into her living room, where it circiled the cruxtruder pointing at the timer steadily ticking down at 2 minutes left then out the window where she saw meteors raining down and one headed straight for her house. Quickly she turned back to the pixie comb as it flew to the wheel on the cruxtruder then to a card lying on the floor before flying into the dining area and back to her room.

Figuring it must be instructing her what to do, Lucia quickly turned the wheel producing a rod of some sort, then took it and the card into the dining area, where she found another strange machine, the comb instructing her how to work it she soon left with a carved rod and ran back to her room. Following the combs directions she soon found herself staring at a round device with four colored buttons, Red Yellow Green and Blue. As she stared at it, the buttons lit up Red Green Yellow Blue. 'Well thats not right' Lucia thought to herself. 'Must want me to correct it,' she thought pushing red yellow green blue. A buzzer within the device went off as the lights repeated, red green yellow blue. 'THAT ISNT RIGHT' she screamed internally pushing the buttons in the correct order once more met with a buzzer. Glancing back over her shoulder she saw the timer ticking down, 30 seconds left. This wasnt good this thing was broken she muttered to herself as she pushed the correct buttons again met with a buzzer. 15 seconds. No no no no no she whispered.

Blinking his eyes clear of the sudden assault, Zane glanced back to where the kernelsprite had been a moment before to see that it had been transformed, seemingly fusing the digital nature of the sprite with the flaming body of the parrot to create a rather interesting effect. Almost immediately, the parrotsprite shot past him back towards the room it had originally been confined in. Deciding that whatever remained of that feathered menace's conscious must be guiding whatever actions it was taking, Zane followed it, seeing as the rest of the devices seemed to be in the same general area as the previous one had been.

Once he got there, Zane noticed that his sprite was trying to burrow its way into the rubble rather fruitlessly. After a few moments, it seemed to recognize the presence of a person and turned to face him before gesturing down to the fallen wall. Zane took this to mean there was something of some value trapped with and it only took him a few moments of separating the heated debris until he found what seemed to be a captchalogue card, with a variety of holes punched through it, leaving it useless for item storage. Glancing back at his sprite, Zane took the short nod it gave as confirmation that this was what it was trying to get to and stored the card away for future use.

The moment that the card vanished, the parrotsprite took off once more though it only traveled a few feet to hover over a small wheel attached to the device it was originally spawned from and bumped it a few time to get Zane's notice. Following the incendiary avian, Zane followed the suggestion and slowly cranked the wheel, eventually ejecting a teal cylinder that he grabbed and stored before it could strike the ground. Examining the object within the card, he noticed that the device on the other side of the room seemed to be designed to have the cylinder placed within. With a few quick steps, he stood in front of the other strange device and considered the various components found on it. Wanting a second opinion, he checked his Pesterchum and discovered that every person that he had contacted recently was temporarily unavailable for some reason. Disliking the idea of contacting someone brand new at this point, Zane decided to do this solo, with some slight assistance.

Pulling the... cruxite dowel from his sylladex, he fit it into place on the machine and noticed there was an additional input location, a slot to insert captcha cards. Pulling the pre-created card out, he slid it into place and heard a dull click. as the device accepted it and whirred to life, a pair of laser cutters swiftly shaping the totem to a specified pattern, creating an immensely varied form that seemed more chaotic than its specialized creation would assume. Picking up the newly carved cruxite item, he headed back into the hallway while keeping an eye out for any more destruction, using that as a means of finding the rest of what his chum had deployed for him.

Noticing that the door to the next room over was slightly ajar, he pushed open the door, exposing the room in full. The arched window on the far side of the room glowed a fey red as the light from the descending meteor cast the room in a stark relief. Zane stopped and stared at the incoming disaster facing him, almost unable to accept just what he was seeing. After a few moments of pure shock, Zane was jolted out of his thoughts by his fiery associate striking the back of his head. Seeing a strange machine sitting in front of him, he slips the trowel atop the conjoined circular symbol and switches on the device as soon as he figured it out.

The moment the object made contact, the alchemiter sprang to life, scanning the cruxite and composing some kind of object on its main pad. After a few seconds, a Rubic's Cubesque crytal device sat there, the red glow filtering through it, shining brighter in some places and duller in others. Delicately picking up the cube, Zane turned it slowly and watched as the different components turned and clicked into different positions, changing exactly how the light passed through the glittering structure. Spending a short time tinkering, he noticed that every deliberate change cased it to grow dimmer while every time he accidentally shift a piece, the light grew brighter. Glancing back at the rapidly approaching meteor, Zane resolved himself. He closed his eyes and started shuffling the cube randomly, the light doubling in intensity as he does so. As the light grew almost unbearable, the cube finally locked in position in his hands and everything went white.

ABSOLUTE FAILSAFES INITIATED.
MISSION PRIORITY: PROTECT SESSION INTEGRITY.

Kain blearily opened his eyes in his living room, on his floor and something keeping one of his eyes shut. His uncle was jostling his back, making worried noises as he did so, staff in hand and surrounded by huge piles of blue and black grist. Kain tried to mumble but ended up only coughing, and the sharp pain in his ribs woke him up. His bunnysprite seemed awfully agitated as well, dancing to and fro in front of him. He smiled slightly and told his uncle he'd be fine but he needed to sit up. Uncle, gracious that Kain was still alive at least, helped set Kain in his favorite armchair, and went to clean up what was left of the front door. Upon looking that way, Kain let out a cry of fear.

A huge red dragon was looking at him from outside.

Isis heard a rapid knock on the door she leaned against. It drew her out of her groggy state, plopping her into one of confusion and slight dizziness. Had she woken up from that weird dream?

Rubbing her eyes, she straightened up. Her gaze fell toward the kaleidoscope in her hands. Huh...That was odd.

The knocking sounded against, much louder this time. Isis turned to open it, but it swung open before she could. The young woman squeaked as she was simultaneously whacked with a panel of wood and squished against the wall. Her Auntie's head peeked around the door. Apparently the woman had gotten tired of waiting for Isis to answer. Ignoring the fact that she'd just squashed her niece like a bug, she beckoned Isis out into the living room. The basement was no place for young ladies who wanted to keep their limbs intact, she insisted.

Auntie then disappeared from the doorway, closing the door to leave Isis enough space to move. After a moment of hesitance, Isis stepped out into the living room. Before she could protest, she was swooped up into a hug. While trying her hardest to wriggle out of Auntie's grip, she spotted something in the window.

A massive, reptilian eye peered in, watching the struggling pair closely. Isis stopped mid-wriggle. She blankly stared back. The eye was definitely there and not disappearing. Okay, maybe she wasn't awake, she thought.

"Mewstress!" Pounce yelled, bounding toward her. He rubbed against her as he wound around her, firmly wrapping her in his tail. "Everything was all shaky and rumbly and mrrrr! It was scary!" he whined, trying to wiggle his way into her arms.
"Definitely dreaming," Isis muttered.

As the light faded, Finn O'Leary laughed. He fell to his knees laughing, not because he found his situation funny or was happy, but because he couldn't think of any other option. He laughed in the face of death as the fear from the moment ran away from him.

The moment endured for a few minutes, a sullen, angry boy laughing himself silly on the roof of his home. His expression hardened after the moment passed. He hated that feeling of weakness and that he'd only luck to thank for his survival.

He stood up and looked out over the roof of his home. For miles, nothing but the glimmering sheen of polished metal greeted him. He could feel the dull and monotonous pulse of something in the distance but other than that, the area was unremarkable.

But, as Finn looked out onto the landscape, he could feel something pulling him forward, compelling him to not just disregard his new surroundings.

He dug into his pocket and retrieved his mobile, opening his conversation with Isis. He'd have to go exploring after he checked up on everyone.

FR: So
FR: I Don't Know What The Weather Is Like On Your End Of The City
FR: But
FR: We Just Dodged A Meteor Over Here
FR: And
FR: I Don't Think I'm In Vegas Anymore
FR: Unless The Mayor Was Serious About Paving The Streets With Silver

Then, he opened up his conversation with Zero

FR: Here's Hoping That My New Interior Decorator Didn't Get Squashed
FR: You Still Over There?

Finally, he opened the group message.

FR: Update from Redeemer
FR: No Signs of Intelligent Life
FR: Suggestions Include Removing The Batteries So The Ticking Stops And Something Less Shiny

Pocketing his phone, he shot downstairs. Leaping over the banister and landing in the foyer, Finn noted that his father was nowhere to be found but he didn't worry about it much. The samurai knew how to take care of himself. Finn stepped forward and opened his front door.

When he stepped outside, Finn drew his sword.

A dragon.

Finn shuddered in anticipation as the creature drew to its full height. A deep red body tinted black along its extremities, the dragon tilted its head and frills billowed out as a mane testing the air around it and sensing Finn's presence. The dragon fixed the swordsman with its gaze and Finn took a step backwards unintentionally, repelled by its oppressive power. Four feathery wings unfolded from its back and Finn realized its true size. The dragon was deceptively large, its size composed mainly of its powerful wings.

Finn capped his pen trying to avoid a fight if possible and the weapon returned to his strife specibus. He felt that he wouldn't be able to fight an enemy like this. He took another step back and slammed the door to his house in the dragon's face.

"Fuck. That."

Finn stepped away from the door just as a blast of lightning ripped the door from its hinges. The young man rolled into the kitchen narrowly avoiding the blast, "Shit, this game plays for keeps." The swordsman drew his blade and sprinted through the kitchen, running outside through the side door.

Finn knew that he had no chance of outrunning the dragon since it could very probably fly, but he needed distance and time to think before he could fight something like it. The red and black beast took a moment to catch on that he had exited from a different side of the building.

"Damn, it's way too fast." Finn commented as he sprinted as hard as he could, the dragon taking off behind him and bearing down on him within seconds.

Finn dropped low and slammed the point of his blade into the glimmering surface, hoping that the laws of physics applied to dragons.

He thought that the flying monster had to be breaking a couple of those laws given how well it turned to give chase, but that didn't matter, he was falling now. His blade had managed to rupture the glimmering surface and he fell through the opening it had created. He tried to grab the edge but the hole closed just as fast as it had opened.

Despite that, the world didn't go black around him, in fact, he could see the dragon looking puzzled above him as he was deposited in a tree.

Then, the branch that caught him broke. Finn was positive he hit every single branch that he could on the way down until he hit the forest floor.

All Zero could do was watch the window with Finn in it… but she really didn’t know what else to do with it. She would rather not try to do something that would make Finn angry at her, that wouldn’t be good for their relationship. However, her focus was diverted for a moment as Pesterchum lit up. Curious, Zero clicked it and saw Lucia was contacting her once more. Although she apologized for the vanishing, Zero wasn’t sure about the rest of her message.

PA: Wait, pardon?
PA: Are you implying something about my Master?

Zero wasn’t entirely sure what to feel at the moment… but she didn’t feel like her usual self from reading that response. At that moment, her screen flashed bright from something happening with Finn and she would immediately minimize the Pesterchum window to see what was going on. She didn’t know why he was making some weird sound (because Zero didn’t know what laughing sounded like or what it was for that matter) or what had just occurred. All she did know was that the Pesterchum window was flashing again and she would soon be in contact with Finn again.

PA: Get squashed? What are you talking about?
PA: Yes I am still over ‘there’ as you put it.
PA: But are you okay? What was that sound you were making?
PA: it didn’t sound healthy.

Hesitantly opening her eyes, Lucia looked around finding herself still in her house, nothing appeared to have been burned. Did she somehow survive the meteors she thought to herself. A loud splashing sound from outside suddenly caught her attention as she got to her feet. Lucia crept carefully outside her front door, taking in her newfound surroundings. She was surrounded on all sides by a thin mist hanging over water, looming trees stood in the distance across the water on what she assumed was the far shore of a lake where her house now sat in the center. Small rays of sunlight crept through the clouds overhead, creating dancing colors in the mist straight ahead of her where the splashing  was loudest.

Carefully she crept towards the source, as she neared she couldnt stifle a loud gasp from her lips. Before her the rays of sun were reflecting off the scales of a large silvery dragon sending colors of the rainbow through the thin mist. The dragon before her had large feathery wings half the length of its enormous body, its tail shaped like a some kind of leaf, splashed down into the water as it lifted a wing to its head at the top of its long almost dinosaur like neck and took a section of the wing into its mouth to preen.

Unable to contain herself any longer, Lucia rushed to the dragon exclaiming," Oh you're so GORGEOUS Miss dragon!!! It is Miss yes? OH! Your scales are just so ABSOLUTELY DIVINE! And your wings they are so soft and cuddly!!" As she clung to the dragons wing brushing it in her over excitement, she failed to notice the dragon lower its narrow head, with its two three-pronged horns extending back from the top of its frilled head, and peer ar her with its sky blue eyes. What she did notice however was the large beasts long tongue wrapping itself around her body covering her in saliva, as it pryed her from its wing,  and deposited her back in her bedroom, after prying open a window with a single claw.

Staring out her window in utter shock at being so covered in saliva, Lucia watched as the dragon continued its bath and preening as if she had never even crossed its path.

Kain tried to sit up but a rather sharp, stinging pain from his ribs forced him to sit back down with a grunt. While he wanted to warn the others, help them, there was little way he could manage to sit up, forget about moving around. He looked around and weakly called out for Uncle, who rushed to him.

AA: Uncle... I did this. I'm sorry. But... my friends are... in this with me. I need...
AA: I require immediate access to my personal computers. Time is... *cough cough*... of the utmost... essence.
AA: And I'll assist in portal reparations directly succeeding my success at... contacting them.

As Uncle watched, he grew more and more worried, denoted by the ever-deepening furrow of his brow. Steeling himself, however, he gently lifted the entire armchair and struggled to carry Kain and the chair upstairs. After a few minutes, but not a single jostle, he gently laid the chair down in front of Kain's desk, giving him a hair ruffle and a tender cheek-rub before heading downstairs again.

Kain smiled and set his fingers to typing.

AA: Everyone who is not in the session yet, or rather, if your timers are continuously marching downwards...
AA: Stop reading this as soon as possible. The machinery your host provides will permit you access to the full game itself, but time is of the essence. The end of my timer coincided with my meteor crashing into our home... but...
AA: In any case, I'll start working with whom I can to get this accomplished. I'm in, who else is?
AA: And be careful. I have a dragon outside my home. Not sure if anyone else does, but...
AA: It seems friendly enough to me.

Wasting no time, he immediately shunted over to Isis' tab.

AA: Sorry for the delay. What's your timer at? Where are you?

Over to Finn's tab...

AA: Are you in yet? I didn't have time to read the messages you posted, I'm kind of on high alert right now.

And over to Lucia's.

AA: Lucy, please tell me you're all right. I need to know you're okay.

Finn pulled himself from the forest floor, shaking free a few stray leaves that had ended up in his hair. He took a moment to take in his yet again novel surroundings. The bronzing grass that crept to the middle of his shins was brittle to the touch. Above, the trees stretched to the one-way mirror that he had fallen through, their broad leafy canopies letting dappled light stream down to the forest floor. Short bald plants tangled their way around the trunks of trees mimicking both briars and vines at once. Finn noted that it seemed oddly peaceful now that the dragon assaulting the dome above had left to somewhere else. Then, his Pesterchum chimed. He dug into his pocket and said a silent prayer for the still functioning status of his phone. It did have a slim crack down the center of the screen now, which was disappointing.

Finn looked at his messages from Zero first, noticing she was blissfully unaware of her impending destruction.

FR: You Need To Get Moving Then
FR: There Is A Meteor Heading Towards You
FR: And It'll Fuck Up Your Existence In T Minus Fuck You If You Don't Get Moving
FR: I Don't Know Who Your Interior Designer Is But I Don't Want You Dying
FR: If They Don't Cooperate
FR: Give Me Their Fucking Pester And I'll Bully Them Into It If I Have To

Then, he got a message from Kain.

FR: Glad To See You Didn't Get Fucking Obliterated
FR: Have You Ever Tasted A Meteor?
FR: Because For Reference
FR: They Taste Like Shit
FR: Also
FR: I Hope You Don't Need Any Furniture Anytime Soon
FR: I Got Chased Into The Center Of The Earth By A Fucking Lightning Breathing Dragon
FR: I Wish I Could Make That Up
FR: So
FR: If You Want A New Couch
FR: You'll Have To Wait For Me To Find A Way Back Up

Then, to the global chat.

FR: Must Be Nice
FR: Spoiler Alert
FR: Dragons Fucking Hate Me
FR: At Least I Don't Think The Lightning Was A Friendly Hello Shout
FR: And Yeah Meteors Are A Fucking Thing
FR: And I Recommend Not Eating One If Possible
FR: They Taste Bad And You'll Fucking Die

Lucia shook her hands to free them of the dragons saliva before sitting down in front of her laptop. Pulling up she fired off some responses, first to Kain

LF: I'm a(( right, ex(ept for a (ibera( (oating of (o(ossa( (izard sa(iva.

then to Zero

LF: I apo(ogize if I seem to be imp(ying things about your Master, I unfortunate(y have a (itt(e prob(em where I o((asiona((y don't think and just (ontinuous(y ta(k. Its (onstant(y getting me into troub(e, I shou(d rea((y work on ki((ing that habit.

then the group message:

LF: Guess I was in(redib(y (u(ky with the dragon (ase, grumpy-kun. They apparent(y have no qua(ms with me. Going to go (ook for Sis, hopefu((y she's in a (itt(e better (ondition menta((y now.

Being sure to grab her phone in case of anymore pesters, Lucia prepared to leave her room, captchaloguing  her favorite plushie that the singular imp in the corner wearing her Ryuko outfit had discarded in favor of playing with one of her many others. As she opened the door fully, a vanilla milkshake came tumbling down on her head as miniscule laughter was heard jittering about her. Looking around she spotted the pixie comb sprite in apparent hysterics. "Stupid mischievous pixie comb thing." She strolled down the hallway nervously knocking on her sisters room door. "Sis? you in there?" she called out. Receiving no reply she carried on down the hallway in search of her sister. After a careful search of the whole house with no results. Lucia sat staring at one of the strange machines trying to figure out how it worked while the pixie comb buzzed around her head annoyingly.

Zero didn’t expect such a message from Finn. She looked at it for several seconds with her computer screen being reflected by her sunglasses. For perhaps the first time in her life, Zero Zeplie felt fear. At least, she thought she was experiencing it. Her body did shiver for a moment though. After a minute of physical and mental silence, she typed a response to Finn.

PA: I actually don’t know who that is.
PA: Everyone I’ve messaged has mentioned they already have someone taking care of them.
PA: There’s someone I know who could probably help me.
PA: Although there’s a chance nothing can be done.

She then looked at Lucia’s response and while she appreciated it, a more thorough conversation would have to wait.

PA: Pardon L-chan, I’m going to have to be silent for a bit.
PA: I’ll respond back as soon as I can.

And thus, she turned to the final person she had to message. Thankfully she never closed his tab after they had finished communicating. Hopefully, AA was still around.

PA: Pardon AA, but I have a problem.
PA: I don’t have a client.
PA: I wouldn’t mind this so much, but it seems a meteor is about to fall on me.
PA: If you can’t do anything, that’s okay really.
PA: I suppose I’ll resign to my fate.

After typing her messages to AA… and Zero swore her heartbeat was increasing. Was she really afraid? Was the fear of imminent death actually affecting her? From a logical stand point, yes it was probably making that happen. Zero was still human, even if she had undergone years of training that would have left others as broken husks. But even such a primal fear as death could get through to one who the social skills and understandings of a box of crayons.

While Isis pondered the likelihood of vivid visual hallucinations vs the likelihood of just being asleep, she noticed the repeated "Pings!" of Pesterchum notifying her that people were trying to talk to her, gosh darn it. Of course, being so deep in thought, she didn't really register that it was her cellphone until Auntie began waving it in her face. Once she managed to focus on the constantly moving device, she snatched it from her aunt's hands, mumbled a quiet thank you, and scurried off behind the couch.

Once curled up safely, she scrolled through the accumulated messages. Her eyes widened behind their frames upon seeing Finn's message. She supposed that on one hand, she should be glad he survived. Still, the idea of him being chased by flaming, flying hunks of rock wasn't exactly a comforting one.

MA: Well, from where I'm watching, we have...
MA: Many meteors menacingly moving in
MA: Or mercifully moved on at this particular point in time
MA: And a-...Wait, silver you say?

Hesitating, she crept toward the edge of the sofa and peeked out. She couldn't see much from the middle of the living room, but it seemed that the giant eye had, thankfully, disappeared. So, she tiptoed over to the window and peeked out.
For several seconds, she stared out of the window, eyes scanning the golden, bone-dry sand. The land, barren from what she could see, stretched on and on for miles, shimmering slightly in the blazing light of the sun.
Looking down at her phone, she replied.

MA: Everything seems as similar and same as always.
MA: Dry desert and eye-searing sun.

Then it was on to the group chat. A quick skim through gave her the gist of things: meteors, dragons, lightning, no one's dead yet.

MA: Most marvelously no meteors were made meals of
MA: But there are deadfinitely dragons drifting about.
MA: At least I suppose that's what was wandering around my house
MA: I'd rather refrain from running off to figure it out.

The last was reply to make was for AA.

MA: I've actually avoided that awful, counting accoutrement for some time now.
MA: But I suppose I should see what it says anyhow.

As Isis captchalogued her phone, this time without incident, she noticed Auntie walking toward her. Before she could flee, Auntie wrapped an arm around her, effectively trapping her. The woman pulled Isis close, patted her back, gently set a lemon on her head, and then walked away.

Isis sighed, calmly captchalogued the lemon, and looked around the room for Ponce. It was after a few minutes of looking that she realized he was nowhere to be found. A faint path of glowing, orange droplets trailed in circles around the room, but they led nowhere in particular.
Finally, she looked toward the ajar door. Shoulder's slumping, she let out a long, heavy sigh. "Seriously with such, Ponce?"
