And would that by any chance be where you lost points? Did you get a scoring rubric or anything back? Because in my school, we get the rubric back and see where we lost points. Personally, I don't see any problems, but I'm reading about it. I don't have it, so I don't know where it might have been marked down.

I wouldn't say THAT. I'll admit it's not for everyone, but I happened to really enjoy it. Although...there is one scene where the protagonist almost gets molested by a former teacher...

Wait, what? I remember him talking to his teacher, and I remember a seperate part where he decides to have a hooker in his room, then changes his mind when he sees her and gets depressed, but is forced to pay more than was advertized.

If I remember that better than this apparent molesting-by-a-teacher thing, then I clearly have issues.

ALMOST.

He has no idea where to go, so he finds one of his old teachers, who offers to him to sleep on the couch. When Holden wakes up, he finds that the teacher is stroking his shoulder. So, almost. That was actually a big point of debate for the class, we had a text-seminar on whether we thought it was pedophilia or not.

It boggles my mind that they're still allowed to teach this book in schools. I'm incredibly pleased with it, but it's still mind-blowing.

That's nothing. I'm surprised at a story I had to read for College Prep Writing, entitled, "The Littlest Hitler". Basically a story about a fourth grader that, after watching a lot of WWII documentaries, wanted to dress up as Hitler, then at his school's Halloween party there was a lot of ecchi, such as a seventh grader deigning to dress as a hooker and said seventh grader going through a scary cardboard maze with her, and him being delighted about her panties.

Guys, I couldn't make this shit up if I tried.

So... just got done watching the Hobbit. Loved the opening sequence, cried and had to pause when they played the Shire theme (Well... I'm home. -fade to black-) and the song the Dwarves sang at the beginning... Bone-chilling awesome.

But... Did anyone else feel that the movie felt kind of... off?

Well, when I was watching the movie, up until Rivendell, I felt the... the feel, the tones, the... essence itself of the movie was skewed in a way. Like... I dunno. I expected it to be more Fellowship of the Ring, and I got a hybrid of Fellowship and Two Towers. I guess what I'm trying to say is that overall I expected the movie to have the same sense of danger, excitement, and of new beginnings like the Fellowship. I dunno. Maybe I'm crazy.

Although, one thing that did bug me that I CAN point out: Gandalf mentions the Five Wizards... yet forgets the names of the two Blue Wizards? The f*ck?

I feel like that was an inside joke about the book, but I haven't actually read it, so I wouldn't know for sure. I just know that my friends who did read the book seemed to get a pretty good laugh out of that.

They're not that expensive, last I checked, over here, I could get 1TB for a hundred bucks, so I don't think it would be that different over there.

I use it mainly for music on my 360 and games on my pc so it NEEDS a usb insert.

Yeah, they all do.

All an external HDD is is a hard drive with a USB insert. Some of the bigger ones do require mains power though.
