"Thanks! You're a little young, though." She laughed. "What are you doing on top of Station Tower? It's a little dangerous here... Not that I mind. I used to sit here with my friend..." Vita looked at the setting sun, lost in nostalgia. "...Not that I remember much. It's weird, how I can't remember. I think I would've remembered something like that a little better, like his face, or voice."

"I'll never forget those days..."
"Me neither. Not like I can forget, after you've beaten it into my face so many times..."

Aleri pressed his fingers to his temple, trying to fight the minor headache that came with the surfacing of the fragment of memory.

<You know, I never DID clarify much on Al's past. I've had this planned for a long time.>

The Heartless fell right on it's bottom. He looked up, it's legs moved on it's own, they started stepping, and marching sending shockwave in each step, it's arms started floating up, and it's body and head started spinning.

The arms lifted up, and gave a large hammer chop, no time to react.

Just there, in front of the Saiyan was White his arms out front to protect him. A large white bubble shield blocking the arms.

Dispatch smirked. "Tell me, did I really look like I was in trouble?" Dispatch jumped clean over White and did a rolling midair slash with his sword in the direction of his enemy's arms.

"Hm? Aleri are you ok?" Dante raised his small yet slightly calloused hands to the older boys forehead and, he held them there for a few seconds, his ear cocked to the sun. He took them away, nodding slowly. "That's going to get worse the longer you think" he said tapping the point where Vita had sucker punched him while he was really talking about the rising and falling memories.

Vita waved her arms. "Just fine, 'cept that I can't find this new Struggle champion guy. Have you seen him anywhere? I heard he decked Seifer like it was nothing. Somebody THAT strong makes for a good opponent."

Aleri took the chance to speak candidly with Dante while Vita was talking to the others. "Well, even if it does hurt, I kinda want to know. I lost most of my memories, and I want them back. She's the most significant trigger I've run into. Don't worry, I can handle a few headaches."

Aleri quickly made an X with his arms. "N-no, I don't wanna be a zombie! If I collapse, leave me be, 'kay? ...Unless I fall off. Then, maybe a little healing would be fine."

Dante gave Aleri a cheeky smile. "Fine...Don't know why you fear being a zombie...not like you'll be under my control and hunger for mortal flesh...much"

Aleri fell silent, with a strange, faint smile on his face. "...When I finally kick the bucket, I want to stay dead. I wouldn't want to be bound to the world any longer. I swear, if you make me into a zombie when I die, (assuming you outlive me) I'll kill you dead."

Dante nodded. "Hm...i'm not sure if i should take that as a warning or as a challenge...." He said thoughtfully then trained his black eye on the ground below. "this place is so....unexpecting" he said softly. the child sratched his neck and leaned a bit farther off the edge. "Im suprised...but then again...I come from a eternal realm of souls..."

Hayner chuckled at Vita's statement.

"Understatement of the century," Pence chimed in.

"The managed to beat Seifer to a pulp while still managing to keep Rai and Fuu off his back," Hayner explained.

"You might want to check the Sandlot," Olette informed her, "Though I don't think he's in the mood for another fight."

Vita's shoulders sagged. "Awww, maaaaan... Well, I'll just have to settle for Hayner and Seifer. You two are the only ones around here worth their salt, myself aside."

Dante looked at Aleri and Lance. "I think there three others that can take you" He piped up as he got up. obviously he counted himself as a person worth the effort, but still with the age difference and his 'im innocent so don't hurt me to badly' look he could be overlooked. Still, Dante pushed himself up and put his hands on his struggle bat.

Aleri glanced at the toy weapon in Dante's hands. "Where did you get... Hey!" He found that his own was missing. "Dante, what are you doing with my Struggle Sword?"

Vita just laughed. "I wasn't counting you guys. You're from out of town, aren't you? Well, as much as I hate to underestimate an opponent... You're, uh, a kid. Well, a YOUNGER kid. Hey, why don't we all duke it out, and the winner gets to fight Seifer? Knowing him, I'm sure he'd be honored to find that we actually chose the best out of us all to fight him."

Olette and Hayner's statements registered. "True. I'll have to smack him one if he's frowning. Let's all go down to the Sandlot!"

Aleri glanced at the stick in his hand, now devoid of ice cream. "...You know, Dante, you really oughta check the sticks before you toss 'em. If they have the word WINNER printed on them, then you can get a free ice cream. It's strangely gratifying."

Dante looked over edge. "hm...Im sorry...i didn't know Al" He said leveling the toy onto his shoulder. "But I think...I'll try again next time" He grinned then started walking down the stairs. 'Hm...a kid huh? i think i can atleast take on two of them before i get too tired...' he thought

Aleri put and hand on Dante's shoulder. "Be careful not to overestimate your own power. These guys are actually tougher than you'd think. Especially Seifer. Once you get past his overconfidence, he's a skilled fighter."

Twilight Town: Sandlot

Vita led the group into the area. "Is he here? I see Seifer's gang, and a few other people, but what does our Struggle Champ look like?"

Vita shrugged. "Get past the bravado, and Seifer's not such a bad person. He acts all tough, but he's a little softer underneath. Afterall..." She laughed. "...he always tells people about his romantic dream! ...Wait, how did you know Seifer? You're not from around here. Have you come here before, and he gave you trouble?"

<I AM referencing this a littlw wrong. In KHII, he says "Isn't this ROMANTIC!" as a battle quote. In FFVIII, he says "One day, I'll tell you about my ROMANTIC dream!" And, if you think he's just a total ****head, watch the ending sequence of FFVIII. Sure, he kicks Fuujin into the ocean, but that aside... He's okay. Of course, maybe I'm just so overly-tolerant of character that everybody else hates. Like how so many people hate Teddie and Yosuke.>
